I looked at all the apps and websites that are dedicated to this test that cost anywhere from free to $$$$. I settled on this app and it was the only thing that I used. The only additional items that I found necessary was an expired sectional chart and the FAA’s publication, “The Pilot’s Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge “ which can be downloaded for free. I also bought the premium version so that I could see the explanations of the answers. This really helped me understand the foundation of the question. When I took the test, there were several questions that I had never seen but were close enough to the study material that I didn’t have any problems. Use this app and go pass your test!
A very good app I passed my test. The format and design is good and the price is fair, But the information has not been updated for current tests and there were some pretty big holes in sections. There were a lot of question I had no idea would be on the test. A few off the top of my head: New night flying regulations, flying over people, remote ID, current drone registration rules. There were a lot of questions about the ceilings heights of airspace’s and what kinds of airspace is under class b and c zones and how high they go. Cruising height of victor airways. And a bunch of questions about crew resource management that were very acronym rich that I was blindsided by. This could be a stand alone resource if it was current with all the regulations, as it is it is a good base and then you have to go and dig for the other parts that are missing. I tried to remember the ones I missed as advice to others who are taking their test. Good luck
I downloaded and paid for the Pro version of this app. I took all of the practice tests and was feeling confident. Went in to take the test and was immediately caught off guard with questions that weren’t covered by this app (like flight categories, what to expect if you flew inside a military zone, and how to fully decode a weather report). I had memorized the questions in this app after so much practice, which gave me false confidence. Failed by one question. There were some questions in the test that were in this app. But the app doesn’t fully TEACH you. You just stumble around answering questions and getting them wrong until you get some understanding of the content. To top it all off, when I went back to the app to study for the test again, they changed their billing structure. It’s now a subscription based payment for a period of time for the ‘pro’ version, whereas it used to be a one-time payment. So I don’t have the Pro access to this app that I paid for. It’s upsetting to me that I don’t have what I paid for, on top of spending the money to take the test trusting that I knew the content and still failed. I would recommend an alternative method of studying for the 107. Best of luck.
