I rarely leave reviews. For years I've been using Accuweather for the national radar and TWC for forecasts. Ever since finding this app I've completely abandoned those two; this is everything you need. More accurate forecasts and "unbeautified" radar (it isn't smoothed into oblivion). It also has SPC/WPC products built into it. There are enough features that it may honestly be overwhelming to casual users initially, but if you have experience with the products it features/take the time to learn them, it's impossible to beat. Now that I'm thinking about it, I also haven't noticed any ads, which is a scourge on all of the "Big Name" weather apps. I now use EverythingWX for forecasts and radar, RadarScope for "deep diving" into individual storms, and Storm Shield for severe weather alerts. I highly recommend EverythingWX if you're looking for a new/replacement weather app.
I like almost everything about this app. Direct NWS data, no ads, integrated severe weather and other NWS outlooks. The only flaw is that there isnโt any way view current or forecasted heat index and wind chill temperature. It appears that you can only see the heat index or wind chill in the daily detailed forecasts, but only if it is an unusually high heat index or low wind chill. Adding perceived temperature to the home page and giving users the ability to see predicted โfeels likeโ temperatures would take this app from outstanding to perfect.
This app was recommended to me because itโs written by a meteorologist who works at the National Weather Service (NWS). My background is also in meteorology, but not forecasting, so Iโve run the gamut in weather apps over the years: Accuweather, Weather Live, MyRadar, RadarScope, Dark Sky, and Carrot, to name a few. EverythingWx takes the best parts of these apps and more. Besides all of the standard features - the daily/weekly forecast, radar map, etc. - the forecast discussion tab is a great inclusion for those in the biz. This app uses data straight from the NWS without using a private sector middleman, unlike the other apps out there, and doesnโt charge a subscription fee for it (again, unlike other apps).
