PLEASE avoid this place like the plague if you can, they are not trustworthy and they are not able to do the common things assured by their company to remain professional at all times. They’re more focussed on their profits and absolutely cannot take accountability for their clearly documented mistakes, no matter what. If you don’t simply take the berating shouts from them it very quickly leads to them resorting to racism by playing into outdated stereotypes that are simply not based in objective reality. For context, they are both quite visibly over middle age, particularly the husband who seemed at first to have a cooler head, restraining his wife’s chaotic, belligerent and erratic violence. Also, they were aware of any difficulties I might encounter, with full disclosure on my part regarding the two disabilities I struggle with and my intention to continue Pilates as a way to keep my body healthy, to which they understood and agreed to reasonable measures. So, it was incredibly appalling and shocking that to make matters even worse, they both began acting incredibly childish, even making gestures and outright insulting me via their uneducated equivalence of neurological disabilities to outright INSANITY. This is despite the conversations I had with both owners and my extreme efforts to mitigate the challenges brought on by their inability to schedule in a professional manner. They went as far as to literally repeatedly make gestures clearly implying insanity whilst simultaneously mouthing or outright saying “you are very crazy”. & Why would they bother to mouth before apparently uncontrollably spiting such venomous hatred? Simply due to the fact that I transparently stated that we should record this conversation, as she was taking liberties with the things she claimed to happen and my response to those inflammatory comments, which was simply to de-escalate as I didn’t have the energy to spend on such solidified ignorance. Particularly, any discrepancy with the things that Laura claims she did or said, as well as imagined or half truths of what I had said out of context, especially regarding the way in which I had reacted prior to the incredibly discriminatory, stigmatising and wholly inappropriate remarks regarding my neurological disabilities. The same disabilities I had asked in depth prior to joinging the studio, to assess and confirm suitability and compassion for a condition that I was born with and cannot ever change. They both refused to speak with the recording on, and instead began to speak Spanish amongst each other of which Laura began to collude with her husband whom I previously had a good rapport with, forgetting how I engaged with them in Spanish as much as possible due to Sergio’s struggles and that my fiancé was also fluent in the language. The transparent recording of the conversation, for clarity and preventing any further confusion following advising their irate conduct and volume by seating away from the class, that I had explicitly booked to be apart of but was instead berated for arriving within the agreed timeframe, particularly since I was in hospital earlier that morning. Amazingly, despite my calm demeanour and respectfully appealing to their sense of protecting their business reputations, ensuring to request that all parties should take the necessary steps and time to ensure a civil, legally fair and transparent discussion for all parties to be heard, instead of deescalating the issue, despite my significant and cumbersome efforts, had unbelievably to my shock and disappointment led them, in particular Laura, to become increasingly erratic and hostile. Worse yet though, was that after stating that she and her husband whom she was allegedly speaking on behalf of, would not speak to me if the conversation was being recorded. Upon further threats of physical violence particularly towards my fiance by threatening that his son is on the way to take care of him, and resultantly baseless fraudulent claims of calling the police “due to a public disturbance”, making it clear that the police would very clearly side with her due to being white, implying heavily that they would leverage that to ensure that I am heavily punished. Aside from being a British citizen who knows my own legal rights and protections, as well as having all of the proof of misconduct in all media formats from photographs of a suddenly “unbooked” class, despite a video catching the frantic changes Sergio was attempting to make regarding the status of my booked session and screenshots of the confirmed booking. I obliged and stayed to wait for the police despite being unwell with unrelated chronic health issues, due to the serious nature of the situation that had escalated to such heights due to a decision to leave and be refunded for my unattended sessions as paid for in advance, and Laura’s persistent refusal to follow active UK legislation in favour of a tirade of hostility and even attempting to weaponise the police against a woman of colour, simply because she was white despite not speaking English to a fluent or native level as I did. All in all, after an hour of threats to call the police, via intermediaries, once they arrived I witnessed them making a huge effort to give them a thorough lecture on wasting police time and making false statements/allegations, warning them that any such action in the future would result in their arrest. As stated at the beginning of the appalling escalation to extremely hostile& both physically and verbally abusive once again. Why? Simply requesting a refund for the unattended sessions that I had paid for but no longer felt safe enough. Their refusal was met with a simple instruction to await a court notice. Albeit, she clearly preferred for the PO’s that she’d continuously threatened me with, on record,to ensure that I’m targeted by using the same racist& malicious ignorance.It’s no wonder then that they simply reiterated my initial statement
