Unbelievable that I can take a picture of the international space station from earth with the camera on this phone but I have to manually type in a 12 digit barcode any time I want to pull up an item because the camera can’t seem to focus on a barcode 2 inches away when I’m using this app. Known issue for how long now and nobody can figure this out???
The potential convenience for this app is enormous. However, in our 4-store setting of 80+ people, we all find numerous inconsistencies in its performance. Its biggest flaw is its camera barcode scan feature. Every single time we try to use it (on any device), it won’t focus. So we type in 12 digit UPCs, or we don’t use the app and go find a computer with a photo. Secondly, there should be a virtual keyboard option for a number pad! Other apps that are data entry based with numbers do this. Lastly and most frustratingly, the app drops connection when using any of our devices on any operating system, on any type of network connection at any of our four locations. As a remedy we put in signal repeaters at all stores, we even tried SIM cards with cellular connection...to no avail. We’ve spent hours and money trying to make it work and no one at a corporate level / tech support could promote a working solution. So for years we still pay for an intermittently working app that doesn’t scan barcodes…
SO much potential for use in an organization like mine with storage facilities that are too far apart to connect directly to Eagle and yes, if cell coverage is good it works but unless you’re connected to 5g speed diminishes to the point you end up tapping ahead of the response. So we boosted it with WiFi which adds layers if security and on any given day it’s a C- Worst of all, and believe me this is so unbelievably ridiculous and ANNOYING contrary to what the updates say you CAN NOT TURN OFF THE SOINDS YOU ADDED WHICH NO ONE WANTED IN THE FIRST PLACE. Put your iPhone on silent. They ding. Turn the volume off. They ding. Swipe down and turn on the silent mode which literally shuts off every sound and they still ding. Fix this and you’ve got a B- worth using remotely but so annoying at the moment I’m actually looking at options for another OS altogether.
