Cons: 1) Of seven fonts available, all look antiqued, like they were produced by an old-time typewriter, with bumpy edges where there should be smooth lines and curves. WHY‽ 2) No caps lock. on a label maker. WHY‽ 3) max font size is not as large as max font size on Dymo's handheld labelmakers, though using the same tape. Also the font selections are different. It means you can't use this to make labels that match labels from Dymo's other products. Pros: 1) It's pretty convenient to be writing a label when I think of it and not having to wait until I get to the label maker. 2) The decorative boxes and emojis are a nice touch. Don't think i'll have much call to use them, but I could see where some would. 3) being able to store frequently-printed labels is nice, though I don't know why the limited the number of them to nine. 4) contact with label printer is fairly robust. Had no errors of that sort yet.

I downloaded this app because it is needed to use the Dymo Letratag 200B which is a slick and easy little device. My only complaint is that this app is currently the only way to use the device and completely misses the advantages that should come with using an app. It’s important to note, the app does what it’s supposed to and, within its limitations, seems to work fine. But what a missed opportunity and waste of potential! At a bare minimum, I should be able to upload an image (at a minimum, in whichever format the icons use ought to work ) — not only would this let me use a low res logo and personally preferred icons, it would give a way to work around all the other limitations, which include but is not limited to: * A -very- minimal set of font options * A small icon set and very limited border choices * No control on margins and paddings * Almost no layout or positioning control * No ability to transfer designs/templates to other people or other devices …etc. I wanted to rate this with one star, but it does work like I presume the developers intended it to and that really is worth recognizing, but I am so very disappointed. The 200B seems to be an excellent little device- it has a great deal of potential but is greatly limited by having only this interface. On the positive side, because this is software, there is no reason it can’t be improved and unlock the device’s full capabilities. Perhaps a kinder title would have been “A solid start, now please finish it.”

Try typing/printing the word ‘Navy’ in [one of the ONLY TWO fonts that are available] ‘Clevern’ font…I’ll wait…ENOUGH SAID RIGHT?! It looks horrible! And what’s up with only have a TOTAL of TWO, yes, you read that right, 2, fonts available?! The simplest computer word processing program from the ‘80s had more available fonts than this stupid thing! And don’t even try to use a border because the letters from whatever you’ve typed will be squished between the borders and on top of the lines of the border making the wording on your labels difficult to read. I don’t see how this thing is honestly that much better than the old school embossed label makers of years past, you know the ones with the large dial that you’d turn to each letter that you wanted to type. I honestly don’t. The only plus of this thing compared to the very first label makers in existence is that you can see what you typed before it prints on the label so you aren’t printing the wrong letters accidentally. Other than that, you still have to have your cell phone with you in order to make your labels (AND the label maker), so why don’t you just print labels to/from an actual printer, as in a computer printer? You’d have TONS (and TONS) more functionality, you wouldn’t have to worry about having different colors of label tape (because you’d just use different colors/amounts of printer ink for both font and backgrounds, and you wouldn’t have to be carrying two devices around (your phone AND this stupid label maker), and your labels would look cleaner, more professional, and they wouldn’t look like they were printed way back in 1992! This label maker is an absolute joke and is going straight back!
