Disney Junior Appisodes

This app used to be amazing until they made a bunch of changes to it. You used to be able to purchase the “books” individually now you only have the option to pay a monthly fee they add on to your phone bill. They should have gave you the option for either one. Then after they changed it I had to download the update. Trying to update it caused the app to black out and now I don’t have access to it at all. It won’t even allow me to remove it from my device. I contacted Disney’s customer service and after jumping through hoops for them for 3 months I still haven’t been able to access the games I purchased previous to the changes they made or able to delete the game from my device. When I asked them to reimburse me for the games I purchased since I can’t access them their response was they could not access Apple’s billing system, but when you contact Apple say Disney has to refund it. So now I’m out of the money and my son can’t play his games, but has to look at every day and gets upset. This is the WORST experience I have ever had with an app! I have learned my lesson though and I will not be purchasing anything from Disney again. They are overpriced and careless of their customers.

My kids love this app, and in theory it’s a fantastic idea. They can play in all their favorite episodes of their favorite shows! Except for one thing...it only works about 25% of the time. My kids will select an apposide, play it for a while, and have it freeze mid action in one of the interactive parts. It won’t move on once the task is completed. The other issue, it that in the main screen, you can select an appisode, hear the sound it makes when you touch it, then nothing opens! It never leaves the main screen! It DOESN’T open the appisode MUCH more than it does. I’ve tried everything to rectify this myself, I’ve tried 4 different devices, I’ve restarted each device, completely closed and restarted the app, and deleted and reinstalled the app (on all the devices). It still doesn’t work right. And apparently, reading these reviews, this is an ongoing problem that Disney has no intention of fixing. My kids will be sad because they loved it on the occasion it worked, but I may be canceling our subscription. I won’t continue to pay for something that rarely works.

So I do absolutely love this app.....when it works. Right now, for me, it does not. I decided to get the subscription because it’s pretty cheap and I can access all of them! Or not.... As soon as I purchased the subscription, it took away all the Appisodes I had previously bought and didn’t make any of the other appisodes available. They all say buy or subscribe. Even though when I click to subscribe it says I’m already subscribed! I’ve tried my phone and my iPad. I’ve tried resetting the phone/iPad, resetting the device, deleting the app and redownloading, and nothing is working. I can’t access anything except books and only a few of those will play. I attempted to contact support, but honestly Disney’s support is a joke. Not sure what to do except cancel my subscription. Really bummed.
