DeskIn Remote Desktop

I don’t write reviews. However, after recently coming across DeskIn when searching for an option to cast my IPhone screen to a computer monitor. It does that quick and easy. It’s true super power is its RDP capabilities in regard to Windows PCs. By the far the easiest, but truly free for up to 3 devices with no limitations, no lag, no computer science degree required. Before I was using a combination of apps depending on my location and the device I was connecting to. NO MORE switching between Windows RdP, teamViewer, RealVNC, AnyDesk, etc Thanks DeskIn, well done!

I switched from AnyDesk to Deskin for remote work and I’m honestly impressed. The connection feels much faster and smoother — no lag during sessions, even when I’m working on bigger files. The interface is simple, everything just works, and it’s been way more reliable than what I was using before. Definitely recommend if you need a solid remote desktop app.

This app works great and the remote service has great performance as well. You will not be disappointed in that regard. However, where Deskin falls short is in that there is no Mac app available, so forget remoting in to your MacBook or Mac Mini. The developer claims its in the works which would be fine except for fault #2. Deskin charges $10/mo to use it for Remote Desktop. $10 is an insanely high price and I can’t imagine how the developers justify it when Duet Display is 1/4th of the price cheaper with the same if not better functionality and Chrome Remote Desktop is free with amazing performance as well. Deskin is a good product but not better than cheaper and free alternatives for individual users. UPDATE: the developers’ response to my review seems to confirm that they didn’t read the review at all. It must have been an automated response, which is just hilarious. Therefore, I am reducing my stars down to three, I had them at five hoping someone from Deskin would actually read the review but no, they didn’t read it. They just gave some automated thank you response and didn’t pay attention at all to the critiques in my review let alone attempt to address them. what a massive fail. by the way, why do they need to add whiteboard, support and voice call support as if there aren’t 1 billion apps that already allow you to collaborate on a whiteboard and do voice calls. And now they’re in app purchases are like 20 different options and they didn’t reduce the price of their basic functionality which is still ridiculously expensive for what it is way too complicate things needlessly. I don’t use this app because it’s ridiculously expensive and chrome Remote Desktop is fantastic and free.
