Daily Holy Rosary Prayer App

I’ve been a catholic my whole life, but not a good one. About a month ago I made a promise to myself that the time has come to once and for all do something about it. I began reading the Bible. I do have a hard time reading and understanding it , but I read it anyway. One day I found this App. And thought this is great I can pray, every day when I get up… and I do… I also do the Rosary which I’ve never done before. I have to say I look forward to each and every day getting up and going to my tablet and start my day in prayer. Thank you for this wonderful App. I needed this more then you can ever know. Thank you.

I really like the physical attributes of this app very much and anything that helps someone say the Rosary is good!! But I am looking for other choices. After saying the Rosary for many years and attending Mass etc. the tempo at which the woman saying the Hail Mary and Hail, Holy Queen etc prayers is off, as if she did not grow up in a Catholic setting and isn’t familiar with how the prayers are usually said, almost a beat or rhythm to them? I know it’s a very slight and not very important, but it’s distracting to me. Seems like she was hired as a voice talent but doesn’t truly know how prayers are said. The Bible passages also use words that I don’t find familiar from all my years hearing slightly different words. Not sure what version of the Bible they’re using? Anyway, I’d rate it higher, but I think I will find a rosary app that seems more familiar to me as if I were saying the rosary in a group setting so I’m not distracted by the “offbeat of the audio. I also don’t like that they asked to track my use. Not necessary and data can be used for other means. Thanks, though!

I really like this simple app. It is just what I needed to help me pray and meditate on my rosary while away from home at work or even in the car. I LOVE the choices of beautiful, classic artwork they chose to represent each mystery, and I love how the picture selection is different each time I use the app. It gives me an extra little thing to look forward to, wondering what I’ll see this time around. I’ve even started using the pictures for meditation while also using my physical rosary during family prayer because it does help me meditate better! It is fun that I can choose a background image or color to make a pleasing style for myself, and that I can select the style of beads. I do wish there were more bead options that I found appealing rather than just one, but that’s simply a matter of taste and I do like the one. It’s nice to have the option of the prayer words or the picture, though I would also like an option of words over picture, or maybe side-by-side. I like how the heading keeps the mystery title and which prayer I’m on. Lastly, I really appreciate having 3 ways to go from bead to bead - tap the bead, swipe, or automatically in play mode. The only thing I don’t really like is that the “play sounds” option doesn’t seem to be working on my phone, nor the “intentions”. Oh, and I can’t work my way back down the beginning beads for my ending prayers as I do with my real rosary. There are even more features I haven’t played with yet because I don’t need them. A lot of thought went into this app and I am thoroughly enjoying it. :)
