Intercede - Catholic Novenas

I just love this app! It helps me to keep track of novenas I am praying, links them right to my calendar. I do pay the small annual fee (which works out to be under $3 per month) so that I have access to all the novenas, and it is well worth the money. I especially love the fairly new feature which allows you to write your intention in each novena you are currently praying. But I went to look at the 3 Hail Mary novena to schedule it, and realized it did not have a space to enter an intention. I am sure this was just an oversight, or that you haven’t finished adding this feature to all the novenas yet. But I wanted to make you aware, in case it was just an oversight. I wasn’t sure how else to let you know other than through a review - still 5 stars, as this is very minor and not a complaint. God bless you for the wonderful work you do on this app.

This is a wonderful prayer app, devoted exclusively to praying Novenas. I started using it about a year ago, and I really don’t have time to say all the things I like about it, but here’d an overview of why I highly value and appreciate it : -singleness of purpose: don’t get me wrong, there are other wonderful prayer apps, some of which I also use and recommend, but the simple design and effectiveness of focusing on Novenas only had the biggest impact on developing a regular prayer life at a time when I was struggling to pray - Getting to know the Saints…there is a patron saint for pretty much any struggle you’re facing or intention you have: the bio of the Saints are very well written and show these were real people who had fascinating lives -keeps track of what day you’re on…after you pray, you clink a button to indicate you’ve finished praying for that day and the app tracks the last time you prayed the novena, and what day you’re on -the daily prayers are typically pretty short, but usually quite uplifting and motivating…through this app I have developed a deep desire to become a saint, not because I think I’m holier than the average person, but because I have become convinced we are all called to be Saints. I am a patron of this app and have been using it for a while now. This app has literally changed my life. Even though I was a cradle Catholic and went to a Catholic elementary school, I either didn’t pay attention or never learned about Novenas. Throughout most of my adult life I was at best, a lukewarm cafeteria Catholic, but around the time of the pandemic, there were many changes happening in my life and I started praying more. I sought out books and apps and even found Catholic groups to follow. I actually do not remember exactly how I stumbled upon this app, but I do know it was Divine Intervention. When I first started using this app, I only used it occasionally. Now I use it daily. Every night before I go to sleep, I pray my Novenas, sometimes several at a time. The app is perfect for this as I can quietly do so in the dark on my phone without disturbing anyone. I have now prayed over 100 Novenas. I would not know this but for the app logging them for me, which I appreciate. Within the past year I have started attending daily Mass during the week and praying the Rosary more, and I have learned so much about the Saints and my Catholic faith. I also attribute all of this to what started by praying the Novenas using this app. As I stated, it has changed my life and been an invaluable tool on my Catholic journey.
