Hank Green and all the people who work on crash course are certified geniuses who do Godโs work for meager profit and everybody is very thankful to them. From kids in elementary school to middle-aged people going back to school again to old people who just want to learn something new, Crash Course has become a community. I remember being twelve years old, watching random videos from obscure playlists just because it was so visually interesting and fun. Crash Course made learning the epitome of what it is supposed to be, what school systems sometimes fail at: learning is fun, knowledge is a volatile tool, and intelligence isnโt just a natural trait but a skill to develop and nurture. All of the things that make Crash Course awesome are too numerous to list, and even better is the fact that Crash Course is still improving and trying new things. I was so excited just a few months ago when the first Crash Course Lecture was posted featuring Hank Greenโs very own, token less-successful brother (we all pity John, having to live in Hankโs shadow). When people ask me how I got such good grades in school despite having disinterested teachers or little time to study, I always say, โCrash Course sponsored my education.โ This review isnโt even necessary because Crash Course is so (rightfully) widespread, but it felt like the least I could do after all Crash Course has done for me and millions of others. In conclusion: THANKS, YโALL!
This app is honestly beautifully made, and you can tell the developers spent a lot of time and effort into it. Itโs intuitive and easy to use, both are things I absolutely adore. I am still in school, and as you know, it is now completely online, and even if this app is only a few weeks old, whenever I donโt completely understand a topic, I donโt hesitate to come to Crash Course, and it never fails me. Now, both of my parents are chemists, and theyโve always tried to get me into chemistry. Theyโve given me their old college textbooks, sent me links to videos explaining chemistry basics, and even taught me science facts in the car, but Iโve never really learnt much from it, but then for the past two weeks I figured Iโd actually put some effort into learning the subject, and surprisingly โ itโs going well! The lessons are easy to follow, and when you put in the extra effort to make notes along the way, chemistry turns into something really easy to follow!
This app is both beautifully designed and staggeringly intuitive. Crash Course launched after I graduated from high school, but I used CC Literature & CC theater to keep on learning even though I didnโt take those classes in college. I was terrible at math & science in high school, and an app like this wouldโve done wonders for my bio & chemistry grades. The material is so much easier to grasp in this format, and I donโt know if itโs because Iโm older and learning because I want to, or if itโs because the material is presented in a way that actually holds my attention. Maybe both? In any case, this app is brilliant and wonderful and Iโm happy that I have it so I can keep on learning. Thanks John, Hank, & the amazing Complexly team. Yโall crushed it.
