Crab Island

I’m tired of getting screwed over by gacha games for enjoying cute things. This is my favourite game now because there’s no real need for it. You get all the cute crabs you want just by playing the game and yeah, you CAN pay for extras or one time only ad removal to help support the creators but you don’t have to just to enjoy the main part of the game: the crabs. It’s not a perfect game but remember this is a smaller studio, not Raid Shadow Legends or Pokémon Go. Aside from that, the game itself is really fun and entertaining for when you just want to decompress or be rewarded without the pressures of competition and at your own pace, too. The crabs are REALLY cute, lots of different designs based on real crabs as well as of unique. (The pastel rainbow star one is my favourite!) You also get to dress them up in accessories from the shop using their in-game currencies; coins and gems, which can be earned simply by playing the game. Gems are the “premium” form of currency in-game but can be earned by regular game-play, such as fishing or completing daily tasks. This also applies to “booster” items. My only suggestions are giving the crabs species, including made-up species for the unique variety and having more to do.

I love the idea of this game, and it’s a great time waster. But, I think there needs to be a little bit more to do if you want to keep players around for longer than a month, and the crabs need to do more so that they are funner to watch. Don’t get me wrong, I love this game, and I like that you don’t get a crab every time you fish, but regardless of how long it takes to find crabs, people are going to run out of things to do. This game is a great start. It’s absolutely adorable, and probably one of the best pet collector games visually and conceptually, but it could still use some work to make a lasting impression on the people who play it. Also, I really like that there seem to be no bugs. I’ve only been playing this for a day, but I have found no bugs in the game. It’s really quite rare to see a game with absolutely no issues, but I don’t think there are any bugs in this game as of writing this review. And since I’m basically an expert on finding bugs in video games and can’t seem to find any, I’ll give you an extra star ⭐️. Well, I mean, I can’t add a 6th star to a review, but you get the idea. Tl;dr: the game is obviously kind of new. Great game so far, could use more features moving forwards. Love the graphics, sound effects, and the fact that I couldn’t find any bugs! 💛❤️🤍💚💙

I LOVE crabs and I LOVE video games and have DESPERATELY been hopping and wishing for a crab collector video game to waste my time away and ITS FINALLY HERE! The crabs in this game are SO cute and I’m SO excited to collect all the different varieties. You can name each crab (which I love), pet them, feed them worms, give them hats and have them dance together in a crab rave! The crab rave dance is very cute, I think there are different versions too and the animations are fun to watch. The only thing is, when you only have two crabs raving the camera sometimes moves in a way that you can’t see them but only for a few seconds. I think those camera movements are generally intended for when you have a lot of crabs. Other than that I’m very excited to play this game forever. I got the ad free version Wifi gives you a little crown for your crabs! Very worth it! 🦀
