Countdown Star

This app was nice overall, but this new update has been a mess. I'm currently rather upset because after I did the update, all of my countdowns were gone. I've had this app for years, and it never did that. Just completely erased everything. I don't even know if there is a way to roll the app back to get them again. It also glitches a lot. I wish I never updated it. UPDATE: I waited a bit after chilling out from being upset to add a bit more. I have been using this app for years, and I kept many of my memorable moments in it. It seems that I am not the only one who is having a problem concerning the iCloud syncing. Even now, after accepting that all of the countdowns that I had stored are gone (I did send a message requesting help through the developer site, but I haven't gotten the response yet), it would seem that the iCloud syncing feature itself is just entirely dysfunctional. Even after adding a new countdown, it refuses to sync or save. I'm not quite sure why so many things were changed for this app, as I think it was functioning just fine before and the only thing it seemed people wanted it was for the widget to come back. all of the other changes made are quite unnecessary and unfortunately, it's turned a very good app into one that you cannot even use. I've learned my lesson to note down important dates and fond events in an actual notebook from now on, and I guess I'll find a different app to store my countdowns.

I enjoy this app. I do countdowns for birthdays and events, it's a cute reminder. I like that you can switch between displaying the number of years, months, days, minutes, and seconds. I just noticed that they have a widget now, I'm going to explore that. Note that I keep it offloaded most of the time because it is too invasive/nosy. Also Note that the ads at the bottom of the page are quite small and often meant to look obscene, though they aren't. If you do a screen cap and blow it up they're kid-safe, mundane, but obviously designed to make gullible min click on them, they should be yeeted into the sun for that behavior. Overall, I do recommend this app, it is cute as can be and very useful.

I got this app looking for a way to countdown the days until a game comes out. It does that and so much more. I went around putting in everyone’s birthdays and telling them how many seconds old they are, and how many seconds until their next one! For some reason that’s super interesting to me and I show everyone (to the point where they get annoyed because I’m showing them too much). The only downsides I’ve found is that the wallpapers you add are “zoomed in” to fit on your phones display. You cannot add a widescreen picture and just have black boxes on the top and bottom. And the other “problem” is that the app starts acting a bit weird if you add too many events in one sitting (but it fixes itself pretty quickly). There is also nowhere to provide feedback in the app, so I have to write a review to suggest a feature. I think it would be cool to swipe up or down while in an event to quickly switch events, instead of opening the menu and then clicking the next one. And adding a widescreen mode when you tilt your phone sideways would be nice too. Great app! It’s good enough to make me want to buy the no adds version, even though the adds are barely noticeable which is this apps best quality!!
