I have been playing this game every single day for over a year. It is my number 1 favorite game, and I never considered myself a mobile gamer. I was enticed by how cute the characters you collect are and I’m sure any new player will too. They’ve come out with some of their best designs in the last year. The game is always exciting and fresh with new features and cookies to collect. The devs must work really hard to push out all this content constantly. They do pop up a lot of packages to buy but they also hand out lots of opportunities to get all the in game currencies. I don’t think anyone could ever get bored. The level designs are beautiful, fun, and always a little different. I love collecting cookies, pets, treasures, jellies, lobbies, and costumes. I only have one complaint. The newest cookies are always the best scoring. It’s a great money making tactic, but I think for every new cookie an old one should get buffed to the same level. They do it sometimes but there’s 2-3 new cookies per update and maybe 1 old one that gets buffed. I look forward to the day all the cookies I maxed 8 months ago being useful again, they are rotting sad and unused. I am also grumpy about magic candy chances as a player who was around before the new rule of “only level 5 candies can be blessed” and I wish it was back the way it used to be. Sometimes I buy the new cookie candy package and do all of the cookie trial bonus missions and still can’t get it to level 5.
First of all, let me get this straight. I joined Ovenbreak when I heard about the Clash of The Dragonkind (Season 9). Being a Kingdom player for 1 year after joining in the Legend Of The Red Dragon update last year in the end of June, I decided, “Hey, Ovenbreak looks like a good game!”, and it actually is! I love how you can run, and do these competitive runs to aim for first place, and especially the fact you can buy, with your gems, cookies you haven’t gotten yet. Thanks to my abundant supply of crystals, I got Pitaya Dragon Cookie and Ananas Dragon Cookie early. I love those two so much… Anyways, sometimes I wish some Kingdom VAs and new VAs would voice the characters. Although it would be a lot of hard work, I wouldn’t want to tire you out. Also, the Raging Calamity costume looks so cool, I wish I could get it in one pull! But…those are my little daydreams that would never happen. But! Overall, this game is REALLY good to use in case of leisure mode, and the scenes….GOD, SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE known for, because it’s SO GOOD! And the cookies are so cute too! This game is great. Too great. I just want to say, thank you, Devsisters, for making this franchise, because it changed my life, and will stay with me as nostalgia forever. -Clover, former Kingdom player and new Ovenbreak player
I’ve been playing this game for a few years and I really love it, however, sometimes it feels impossible to do ANYTHING if you don’t purchase the packages. Trying to Max a treasure is also nearly impossible, I spent all of my tickets trying to Max ONE treasure and even then I wasn’t able to. It kind of feels like everything is set up to get you to buy the package because then your cookies will be at the Max level and such, but some people just don’t have the luxury of in-game purchases and I think by making the probability of maximizing treasures lower it takes the fun out of the game. I just feel frustrated that I’m not able to do as much. It’s the same issue with the cookies, like I mentioned, I’ve been playing the game for years, but I only have a handful of cookies at their highest level and most of them are rare cookies, which aren’t that powerful compared to epic cookies, and the game updates so often that by the time I’m done maximizing a cookie it’s basically useless in the new update. Rainbow cubes are also ridiculously hard to get and most of the time I use rainbow cubes only to get the same 4 costumes I’ve gotten before, which essentially is a waste of rainbow cubes. I truly love this game, it’s fun and detailed and there’s so much detail to the cookies, their backgrounds, the story, the art and even representation. I just wish the probability of the game wasn’t set up so low so we’re forced to buy the packages if we want to get high scores or finish an event.
