CookieRun: OvenBreak

First of all, let me get this straight. I joined Ovenbreak when I heard about the Clash of The Dragonkind (Season 9). Being a Kingdom player for 1 year after joining in the Legend Of The Red Dragon update last year in the end of June, I decided, “Hey, Ovenbreak looks like a good game!”, and it actually is! I love how you can run, and do these competitive runs to aim for first place, and especially the fact you can buy, with your gems, cookies you haven’t gotten yet. Thanks to my abundant supply of crystals, I got Pitaya Dragon Cookie and Ananas Dragon Cookie early. I love those two so much… Anyways, sometimes I wish some Kingdom VAs and new VAs would voice the characters. Although it would be a lot of hard work, I wouldn’t want to tire you out. Also, the Raging Calamity costume looks so cool, I wish I could get it in one pull! But…those are my little daydreams that would never happen. But! Overall, this game is REALLY good to use in case of leisure mode, and the scenes….GOD, SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE known for, because it’s SO GOOD! And the cookies are so cute too! This game is great. Too great. I’ve been in love with this game since the Kakao version and I’ve seen it go through many stages. I’m proud to see it flourishing the way I always thought it deserved, but I’m sad to say that Ive dropped it. I’m sure the devs get hundreds of complaints everyday when they make slight changes to the game so before when I had a problem with new features, I’d just complain to myself and carry on trying to gain levels, but the recent changes are just to extreme for me to carry on, (I’m referring to the whole reworking of the treasure system). Like I said before I love Cookierun and have spent many hours playing the game, so when the new update came out I tried playing it on multiple occasions but since then, it just never felt the same. I never got back the same excitement when finishing trophy races or weekly breakouts as I did before and I was just left felt dissatisfied. Maybe it’s because I’m used to playing it a certain way, I’m sure if the treasure system was always like the way it is now It would still be downloaded on all of my devices, but with the way it is now I can’t see myself ever re-downloading it. The changing if the treasure system doesn’t make it a bad game by any means and to those who’ve never played it, I’d definitely recommend, but for veteran players like me who don’t get the same enjoyment out of it anymore I’d just suggest to drop it now while you still have good memories of it.

Everything’s great, but there are some problems. #1. The updates are very close, making it hard to get new cookies/pets/etc. #2. As a new player trying to get legendaries early, it is hard to get gems (personally) Yes, it is very cheap for just the same price for around 3-4 epic cookies, but I wish it was easier to get gems fast in early-game (Note that most tutorials on how to get gems fast in this game are 2-3 years old.) #3. It is very hard to get rainbow cubes too. I am aware of the rainbow cube wheel but it is hard to even get 50. #4 Whenever I open some things (such as Trophy Race) it just lags out and I can’t play. I do have a particularly old phone, but I’ve been asking my friends who play with a newer phone, and they agree. #5. I’ve read a lot of the reviews on this game, and most of them state that the game shoves deals in your face 24/7. The prices are good, but the overall review would be better if you got less offers shoved in your face. Now with the cons done, I’d like to say the good things about this game. #1. As a f2p player, it is very fun and I haven’t bought anything! #2. The fact that the updates are close is both good and bad, making it not boring if you have all the cookies and pets.
