Conveyor AI - EMR Dictation

I’ve had the great pleasure of utilizing various dictation software and hardware over my time as a clinician. Each have their pros and their cons. I’ve been using conveyor for around three months to date. I have really enjoyed this technology and would recommend. The accuracy is great and on the same level with many other devices/products. My favorite feature is the ability to use the hardware and move across devices. I often utilize different emrs and computers for my work flow and being able to utilize my dictation tool across these platforms is such a great feature. There is a slight delay in the transferring of text to the screen from the dictation device but this is just one of those tradeoffs going from a wired connection to Bluetooth. Overall minimal impact based on the other benefits you get from this software. Overall I’d recommend this product as I feel it delivers good outcomes in reducing documentation burden and increases speed for documentation. I feel the pricing is responsible for what you are getting access to.

I am a resident and I cannot spell complex medical words for the life of me. This saves me so much time and mental energy. I use this for multiple things including creating ANKI cards for studying ease. I would like to leave a suggestion: it would be beneficial to bypass the command “insert” and instead automatically change words to the indicated shorthand version. For example, dictating “45 yo F w/ PMH of HTN” as opposed to creating various templates and dictating “45 insert year old female insert with insert past medical history of insert hypertension” which is a mouthful and requires extra cognitive attention. Additionally, having the baseline setting of no added space after dictation would be very beneficial as well. Eg, dictate “Hello” and it transcribes to “Hello_” instead of simply “Hello”.

This application is the only dictation format that I’ve been able to find. That would be comparable to Apple products where you can actually dictate directly into the chart. Other formats require you to copy and paste or chart into a note and scan it up to the chart which does not give you real time dictation possibilities. it is a little pricey… But you’re getting a streamline product that’s HIPAA protected and works between all of your devices with iOS operating systems. I am already deep into Apple products between my phone, iPad Pro, and recently a MacBook, and this format goes freely between all the options I have for charting. I have had direct feedback, an excellent customer service, they answer emails quickly, willing to help with anything I’ve asked of them, they’ve been patient they’ve been understanding and most importantly, they were not a hard sell the product sales itself. Congratulations on a great product. One other issue that’s easy workaround, but can be a little interrupting is the keyboard sometimes pops up when you don’t want it to and other times you have to make it pop up if you’re trying to actually type in something versus having to chart everything through the dictation system. I wish it would just keep the keyboard popped down until I need it. This is not a dealbreaker by any means just a matter of inconvenience at times.
