Contacts Sync: Google & More

My iPad 7 died and I had an iPAd Air that was no longer being used with another Gmail login. I also have a iPhone 15 Plus that had both Gmail and iCloud contacts from my login and the iPad Air user login. I tried numerous times to sync or even copy the contacts from my iPhone but could never get it to sync. After days of trying, I searched the internet and was able to find and download this app and sync my iPhone an iPad Air with all of the contacts from iCloud and Gmail. In addition, the contacts had labels that may have been from filtering the contacts. I was able to organize my contacts in minutes. This is definitely a buy for frustrated contact sync issue users at a very reasonable rate. Solve your sync problems in minutes, not days or weeks!

Sometimes you just need an app to do one thing well. In the case of Contacts Sync, the name says it all. It seamlessly updates all the contact changes you’ve made on any device and makes sure all your other devices have the same info. For reasons I can’t fathom iCloud does a pretty poor job of this. My only complaint is that although I have it set for auto-sync, it will sometimes stop syncing for no reason I can discern (and, yes, I’m aware it needs to be running as a background app in order for the sync to take place). Sometimes I don’t notice the syncing has stopped until I go try to find a contact that I *know* I put in, and it is missing from one of my devices. To be fair, Contact Sync will notify you when auto-sync has not occurred for a while, but I still don’t understand why it stops in the first place. Other than that little nit-picky thing, I really love the app and have come to rely on it.

I’ve been using Contacts Sync for so many years I don’t remember when I started. But I do remember what a mess it was before Contacts Sync to keep my Apple Contacts in sync with my Gmail account. Not to mention it was impossible to sync and use Google Contacts Groups with Apple Mail. The other very important benefit to using a truly necessary utility is having access to the developer when a problem occurs or you fail to understand something the app is doing…or not doing. This app’s developer is very transparent, and in all these years whenever I had a question he was always there for me. I just realized this weekend how important that was when I had a small issue of forgetting how to do something and emailed him late Friday evening. I expected a reply on Monday, which would have been just fine, but he replied in only a few minutes. How many developers do this? I’m guessing not many. Whenever I get a new iPhone, this is one of the first apps I install…I couldn’t live without it. I sincerely appreciate the developer’s commitment to keeping it updated and providing users with one of the most useful apps in the App Store.
