It's great to have a way to be able to capture colors in real life and translate that to digital. I have this on my iPhone and iPad.
This app is a godsend; I love how the 5-color palettes auto-generate from my photo albums & also the ability to tweak the sample areas to get different colors. The preview modes are great at showing how the palette colors mesh together. The app design is sleek & hip. The my favorite feature is the ability to seamlessly export the palette to Procreate, even on a different device. My only criticism is that occasionally, I’d like to pull more than 5 colors from an image to make a palette, which isn’t an option. I’d really love to see that become a possibility in future versions! An absolutely wonderful app.
TLDR; I wouldn’t personally recommend this to anyone, especially artists as it is limiting, and instead would go for the two apps Pastel, and Coolors (app + website), I’ve mentioned. Hello! I thought I’d drop by with some feedback. The English and introduction is a little wonky, there are a few odd words chosen and could use some revision. On IPad the first panels are stretched and squished, meaning the images were clearly not fitted to the device properly and it was more difficult to read. Along with this, the tutorial you are guided by as you explore the app could use work. I.e: when you are told to drag the color to reorder, if you choose to attempt so, you’re forwarded instead of being given a chance to try following the instructions. This could be a problem if miss the text by an accidental click. Secondly I should mention that the limitations on rolling randomized palettes seems unnecessary. 5 per day is nearly enough to get inspired or “motivated” (quoting from introduction.), and compared to other apps or websites, that should be a free and unlimited feature, which is always expected of a palettes and image color-picking app. Third of all I should say that this app seems to be headed in an alright direction, but should take some inspiration from more popular or successful color palette apps. Take Coolors or Pastel for example; all it is missing is variety, uniformity and revision.
