This app is seriously everything I’ve been looking for and more. I’m a songwriter and neurodivergent and chronically ill, so I have thousands LITERALLY THOUSANDS of videos and audio recordings of song ideas, notes to myself, therapy breakthroughs, meal ideas, etc etc. my issue is I can’t sort through them all bc it’s soooo overwhelming. This app literally solves every problem, I can’t say enough good things about it. I truly can’t explain how useful this app has been to me and how much it has improved my life. I never leave reviews on apps but I just love this app so much that I had to. I recently got an Apple Watch and was so excited to have a way to slyly record audio notes when I’m in public, but the app unfortunately does not work well on Apple Watch. I tried to make a couple notes and the voice command “cocoon blank” doesn’t work, and the audio doesn’t record properly so there’s no transcription. This may be a user error, so I’m hoping the developer gets back to me about this issue. Anyways I LOVE cocoon weaver genuinely my favorite app in my phone and a godsend of a program. To the programmers and developers y’all are doing the lords work for all of us neurodivergents THANK YOU
Wow! First of all, I love how the idea came from a dream and you acted on it to create this lovely app. Thanks! This app is so helpful. As a creator, part of my process is channeling, which requires quick writing. The gist of my process is that I handwrite a message, then enter it into my notes to take it through a grammar checker and share it. The part of writing paragraphs on paper just to have to write them again on my phone can be draining, so I had started to use the microphone in my notes app to transcribe the message. I didn't stick with that method for long, but I liked the idea and wasn't aware that apps like CocoonWeaver, which execute that concept better, existed. This boosts the efficiency of my process tenfold because it already does the grammar and punctuation for me. Although, like any voice recording to text app, the text may be off at times, I love that I can listen to the message and just edit it as I go (and that I can also re-transcribe). I also journal and use voice memos religiously as an outlet to get what I'm feeling out, whether it's emotions, ideas/perspectives, questions, or so on. So this app really helps with that, and it helps with the organization aspect, which voice memos don't have as far as I'm aware. This is also unlimited which is helpful. If I have any recommendations so far, it's that this app be made into a usable widget I can add to my home screen. It'd be helpful to be able to click on it from the home screen apps, and it would at least open, or maybe automatically record! I customize my home screen and widgets with photos and such to make it enjoyable to look at, so being able to add it to my customization would be cool! Anyway, thanks again, and I'm excited to see what happens with this app.
I'm OLD and, after decades of having a hyperactive brain that is constantly coming up with things I want to remember, I think I have finally found an app that has many of the features I've been looking for to help me process all those thoughts - and even some features that I don't think I need, but may be useful. To be able to record a note to myself - AND have it transcribed, retaining both the voice-to-text transcription and the audio recording to double-check it against, is hard to find in apps (I know, because I've been looking). Other apps do this, but make it hard to share out the transcribed text to other apps. CocoonWeaver makes that easy. Add to these features the ability to see *where you were* when you recorded the note can help you remember what you were thinking at the time you recorded the note. To top it off - after just a short time using the app, I had an idea for an additional feature that I thought would make CocoonWeaver even more powerful, for me - and the developer got back to me quickly, politely, accurately understanding what I was asking for and promising that he was already considering adding that feature. One of the features that I don't use, but that might be very helpful to others - is the ability to categorize your recorded notes into specific "cocoons," and to create them on the fly. I'm looking forward to using this more - and to seeing what CocoonWeaver metamorphosizes into, in the future!
