Cleaning Schedule App: BeTidy

I downloaded this because my roommate and myself struggle to keep on top of chores, partially due to our busy schedules, but a lot to do with my adhd and mental health. I love using the widget feature on my Home Screen so I can see that tasks I need to do for the day. Checking them off and the points system is really good for my brain that seeks little dopamine hits like that. Also, the ability to assign tasks at certain intervals and rotate who is in charge of them has made it much easier to make sure we’re both pulling our weight without needing to have tough conversations. I highly recommend this app and have already put some of my friends onto it.

I have been evaluating a variety of home management tools to help me stay on top of all my home tasks. As an ADHDer I often find all the little details so overwhelming. It’s nice to be able to put in things like “changing air filters” which is only twice a year but know it will appear when needed. What this app has that the others don’t however, is the ability to create organization or home improvement projects right along side your chores to manage everything in one place. My suggestions on the user experience side though are to allow the completion of tasks with a swipe. Some of the other apps have this and it is so much more satisfying than a bunch of clicks. Also please work on a widget! I live by my wigets, it’s an ADHD thing. Out of sight out of mind, so having something more up front is important to me. Lastly, onboarding. When I added all my tasks for the first time for my house (over 100) they were all due today by default! I didn’t know how to sort through all that data or where to start. It almost made me quit Immeadiately. Remember ADHD overwhelm here. I figured out to go redo all the start dates but that took another hour and a half.

Wow, I am very impressed! This app gives a whole new meaning to cleaning and organizing the rooms in your home. With this app, I am able to get so much of my time back, stay organized, clean my home efficiently, and celebrate my completed tasks. Overall, the app runs very smoothly and it never kicked me out. The calming aesthetic of the app was so relaxing, I felt like all of my stresses towards cleaning instantly drifted away. If you’re looking for a smarter way to stay organized and enjoy cleaning again, try this app out. It’s such a relief to get my energy back and not have to worry about what house chore or home project needs to be done next. I actually can’t wait to share this app with my family so they can also use it to keep our home clean and tidy every day.
