CheQ: Credit Bill Payments

I thought of switching from CRED to CHEQ application, but thank God, I did not completely because this is not a reliable application. It will not tell you that the payments had failed and even if I failed. There are no notifications regarding that you yourself have to go back and check in the transaction history if the payment was successful because every time, even if you have a failed transaction. It will show that it was a successful transaction other than that the refund on the field transactions are not immediate. I had multiple failures for some utility bill payments, and those were not reflected upfront and the refund was also not initiated from this CHEQ application, because of which I had to need to make the payment of the credit card inclusive of the fail transactions as well on this application it could be good in terms of the CHIPS. As credit. Do not provide you much cashback but on the other hand, this is not a very reliable source. Because on CRED, you don’t have to keep track of the failed transactions. You don’t have to worry about the refund. Coming back to your source or not. But on this application, you have to be very invested about how your money is flowing.

CheQ app is outperforms many credit card bill payment apps and manage to provide more rewards and offers than any other. It has its unique features and simplify UI which enable you to pay the bill seamlessly. One suggestion is to improve feature of reading emails and show the credit card bill amount with notification to user so that they don’t miss out due date and also to add feature to pay fractional (decimal) amount. As of now payment can be made only in whole numbers. Rest everything is good and I love the payment option available again with cheq coins without processing fee.

CHEQ has started collecting 0.2% upfront for credit card payment and gives 1% CHEQ chips earlier these CHEQ chips could be cashed at 0.25/chip this was stopped later CHEQ allowed payment of credit card using chips, this was the USP of the App, Now even this has stopped and now only way to use chips is to use for redemption of useless vouchers that eventually entails lot of cost hence CHEQ Is is now completely useless app. I have stopped using it. I fail to understand the rationale of charging 0.2% for credit card payment and disallowing use of cheq chips for credit card payment. Truly bad idea and CHEQ having killed it’s USP is not going to survive. Suresh Iyer
