Checkbook - Account Tracker

I have been using this app for over a year and initially I really liked it. My expenses are pretty basic, a few reoccurring deductions and a few non-reoccurring deductions but nothing too overwhelming. As of late I have noticed more issues with the app with the main one being the balance is always incorrect! Something isn’t right with the math. Another annoying issue is if you set up a recurring deduction or addition then that amount changes and you update it, it goes back to all previous entries and updates those as well so your balance is WAY off!! Also, although it’s a convenient feature, if you repeatedly have a recurring deduction, like to a credit card, the name pops up so you can easily select it; however, I have this credit card name at least 15 times across the selection bar!! Basically the same credit card name appears as a selection unnecessarily. This also happens with other institutions I make a payment to; the recurring names duplicates, triplicates or quadruples in the selection bar. This was corrected in a previous version of the app but it appears to be back again. The advertisements have also become longer and more annoying. I did not pay for this app because I wanted to see if it was worth it and sadly it us NOT. What’s the point in buying an app that has frequent bugs & issues but most importantly cannot provide an accurate account balance?

I use this every day, like EVERY day, and it’s so nice. Just little quirks get a bit annoying. Like recently it reverted back to numbers we had in there like two years ago and added them to our current account logs. The fix for that was deleting the app and reinstalling, and then it took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to remind it that I pay for premium yearly so that I could get rid of the ads. Something I really really wish it had was a way to search entries and vendors. A lot of times I leave notes in purchases, or have a question about when I last had the HVAC man over to work on the system, and searching for the last entry I paid to them would be so convenient. Hopefully they add that someday, because I do plan to keep using the app. It's become much more stable over the years and I really appreciate that. I share it with my wife and for the most part it updates pretty quick between our two phones. We've also been able to share our premium sub which is nice so neither of us have ads. If you're considering giving it a try, I recommend it.

I have used this app for years…. I had this app so long that there wasn’t even a log in for it. I relied heavily on it for my budgeting and transaction tracking. I even had my daughter download it so I could show her how to track and budget. I was a very loyal user of this app. So when it crashed after the update, I waited days before trying to delete and redownload the app because I was afraid of losing everything but eventually realized I had no choice so I deleted it and redownloaded it. I got excited when I saw there was a restore feature but when I selected the restore button it prompted me to “log in”. Only I’ve had this app so long there wasn’t even a log in for it when I started. You just downloaded it and started using it. So there is literally no option to restore years of transactions and tracking and budgeting. Again, with no warning. I would have even been willing to start paying for certain features because I used this app so much. I had noticed after I had my daughter start using it that certain things were behind a pay wall, like having multiple accounts because I had never had to pay for any of those features because I had it before that started being a paid feature. So I thought maybe I would get a notice that certain features would have to be paid for going forward which I would have been fine with but I am so angry I am not even willing at this point to try again. I can’t believe everything is just gone.
