Chairgun Elite Ballistic Tool+

Fantastic app! Have used it for several years now. Paid for the full version a while back and just saw it has been removed from the App Store and replaced with a subscription model. Call me old school if you like but I will not pay a subscription to any kind of program. I chose this over the Applied Ballistics Quantum even. However, once this device needs replaced I will find a new app or just run the math myself. It was good while it lasted! I know this is the predominant business model for computer programs now, but I do not agree with it and will not support it. I do not subscribe to any microsoft services and when they fully disallow local accounts then windows will be gone from my life as well. Probably going to have to give up smart phones sooner than later as well. Just my way of doing things. Best of luck to the company!

I was previously using Strelok Pro but Apple shut it down so, I searched for an app that was intuitive and easy to use and Chairgun Elite + fits all of the requirements. I don’t own a Kestrel so the wind feature in the app is really handy when on the range. If you have the proper information you can get first round hits!

This app does everything you could possibly want from ballistic calculator. You put in the distance, and it calculates everything else — bullet drop for your specific gun and round, environmental factors, wind for your specific location, etc. After a little bit of practice I used it to make a 575 yard, 3-in. bullseye! Well worth the tiny bit of money — especially considering it saves you from having to spend $$$ on expensive equipment.
