Calculator +

Por muchos años he utilizado esta aplicación de calculadora y nunca me ha fallado. Fue mi preferida por encima de cualquier aplicación o calculadora física. El problema es que ahora todo el mundo quiere hacer de cualquier cosa un servicio pago. Con eso, por lo regular, no hay problema, el problema que tengo es que cada vez que voy a utilizarla ya no voy directo a la calculadora como antes, ahora tengo que hacer de 2 a 3 pasos para entonces poder usarla. La intuitividad se perdió, la facilidad y conveniencia también. Encima de eso, ¿ahora tengo que pagar para no tener los malditos anuncios? ¡Creo que no! De verdad, muchas gracias por todos estos años de servicio que me has brindado, pero llegó el momento de cambiar. For many years, I have used this calculator app and it has never failed me. It was my favorite above any other app or physical calculator. The problem is that now everyone wants to turn everything into a paid service. While that usually isn't a problem, the issue I have is that every time I go to use it, I don't go directly to the calculator like before; now I have to go through 2 to 3 steps before I can use it. The intuitiveness is lost, as well as the ease and convenience. On top of that, now I have to pay to get rid of the darn ads? I don't think so! Truly, thank you very much for all these years of service you have provided me, but it's time for a change.

Update from old review. I’ve been using this for probably about 8 years. It helped me all throughout high school and though I don’t use as frequently in college, it is still great for daily use and the occasional assignment that requires it. UI is very intuitive and it is quite feature rich. Definitely worth paying for. Old review: I’ve been using this for all 4 years of high school, and it’s been great. I haven’t paid for the extra functions, and I might eventually, but it’s much cheaper, and just as effective as a Texas Instrument calculator you’d pay over $100 for. The interface takes a second to get used to, but it’s more intuitive than your average calculator. I definitely recommend this.

i’ve been using this app for years, where it was free with (very unobtrusive) ads until very recently. i used this app instead of the basic calculator app for apple, as it was much easier for me to use. after a major overhaul update, there’s multiple other types of calculators in the app. great! but they are locked behind a paywall. not only this, but when you open the app, it does not automatically take you to the last calculator you had open. oftentimes i only need to whip out a calculator for something time-sensitive, so having to panic-press through a menu of calculators has been annoying. i am not a fan of the new UI for the basic calculator (which is the only free one, some of whose features are also locked behind a paywall). but hey, i’m too used to this calculator to switch to another one currently. it was great before this overhaul, and i hope someday it will return to the app i loved and relied on for years… but in the current state of free-to-pay app development, i highly doubt it. i am leaving this rating to (hopefully) get the “open to last calculator” feature, as a pop-up within the app (with a puppy, which, c’mon guys) told me if i left a review i would get the feature. here’s hoping, i guess. the potential for an amazing, sleek calculator app has been there since i started using this app. and when i first downloaded it, it felt like that experience was already pretty much there. the “free with ads” worked in this instance, as the only ads were small banner ads at the top and bottom of the screen… and i’m talking SMALL, about a sliver of your screen space. but in the tech world, it seems there is a pressure to attempt to streamline and simplify the user experience, until those new “features” and “look” make the app unintuitive. but again, i’m just here for a basic function. i hate to leave a negative review for an app i’ve loved, but yknow what they say: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
