Yay tops of teeth! Adding a star. I'm going to be honest, I was having a really bad day when I wrote my first review and it was just the final straw in a bad day. I'm happily surprised by how quickly the dev responded and how kind they were, especially given the rather unpleasant review. I've raised my rating to 3 stars for now and will raise again after the update. As for the app as a whole, it really has helped me so much. I'm adhd and I have trouble not only remembering to brush my teeth, but also what parts I've already brushed. The visual is really helpful. The top of teeth setting is great as I have a small mouth, use kid's toothbrushes, and they don't have as much reach as normal adult ones do. I'm quite certain my dental hygiene would be far worse without this app, and I apologize for the harsh original review. Old review: âïļ Is Brushing Top of Teeth Worth $10 a Year? No. The answer is no. I've been using this app religiously for years. And up until I was forced to update it today, I could brush the tops of my teeth to my little heart's content. Now apparently I have to pay for that. I get needing to make money, but locking a feature that's been around forever behind a paywall is really grimy. Dev response: Sorry to hear that. I read thinking about making subscription including more premium features. I agree with you, such simple setting should probably be free. I will revert it back in next update.
I like this app a lot so far (only had it for a few days). It's small, simple, and does what it says it does. The calendar, notifications, Home Screen widget, and confetti are my favorite features. Yes, it's true that the free features are probably enough for most people, but if this app has given you $5 worth of value, I'd encourage you to pay for the premium features. Solid apps like this don't write themselves, and it seems like the developer is pretty responsive to comments too. With that being said, the one feature that I'd request is a Lock Screen widget. I use Lock Screen widgets with my sleep focus to make sure I don't skip things like medication before I go to bed. Just a small 1x1 indicator of how many times I've brushed today would be nice (like a mini version of the current Home Screen widget). Thank you!
This app is helpful but there's no point in paying for the full version. I paid for it thinking I could adjust the "Routine" settings to different time increments (20 seconds for 6 sections of the mouth as opposed to 15 for 8 sections) and it was definitely not that. It's literally only to the change the order of what part of your mouth you brush first. Which isn't even helpful at all since I don't look at the app, even on my watch, while I'm brushing. I had a previous toothbrush app on a different smart watch that had 20 second intervals with a graphic that showed the left & front & right sides of the top and bottom while it cycled through, kept track of the "health" of your toothbrush head as you used it, and kept track of how many times you brushed in a day. 15 seconds is just too many sections for us with small mouths so it would be awesome to be able to adjust that. If that were an option in the paid version, this would get 5 stars.
