Bond Bridge (outdated)

This is a great product for our home. We have 5 fans all on the BOND in a two story house. All fans have lights on them and this product does an absolute excellent job of controlling the fans and lights. With Alexa we can program fans/lights to be on a schedule. This is definitely a product we were hesitant to purchase because we have very outdated universal remotes that were in desperate need of replacement. Instead of buying new fans we found this product and were able to program all our fans into the BOND and put the remotes away, hopefully forever! Try it out you won’t regret it! Why not 5 stars? With Alexa at times it will throw the BOND off thinking a fan is OFF when it’s really ON or vice versa. Also, it did take quite awhile to for start up when programming the remotes as I had to manually input each button on the remotes for the fans. The minor issues our outweighed by how great the product is overall.

You can spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars replacing your fans with smart fans, or you could even spend hours and hours installing smart switches for you existing ceiling fans, but both of those solutions pale in comparison to BOND. Trust me, I’ve been down the road of the smart switches and smart fans, and BOND is the best solution. It is simple to setup, just plug it in, connect it to your network, and spend 5-10 minutes going through your house teaching it your ceiling fan remotes. Works with Alexa, and does an amazing job! I absolutely love BOND, it doesn’t even have to be in the same room as the fan if the fan uses RF. Simple, economical, and it works!

Fans continue to be one of the most difficult devices in the home to make smart. You either need to buy a smart fan for a premium with limited style choices, buy an expensive quirky smart controller, or hack something together. A few days ago I stumbled upon someone mentioning the Bond on reddit. I immediately ordered one to try it out. Long story short, it’s amazing. It instantly detected keep fan controller and controls the fan perfectly. Only cons are that it has a relatively short range so you aren’t going to be able to control many rooms with one (I was hopeful about this, but no biggie), also I wish it had HomeKit support. Otherwise, this thing is amazing and the app is great. They have lots of planned device support additions, which really sweetens the deal, but even if it only did fans, I’d recommend this to anyone. The two big additions that I look forward to are split unit control and smart window shade control.
