Blank Street

Love Blank Street drinks and as a regular customer decided it was time to get the app so I could order ahead and beat the queues. Downloaded the app and immediately got stuck behind a pop up window about enabling notification to receive order updates. No way out of that window, no button to approve and no exit button. I tried restarting the app and again the same pop up blocking you from be able to click on anything. I even tried enabling the notifications manually from my iPhone settings menu but the app isn’t showing up in my notifications list even after updating to the latest IOS. So I gave up, won’t be using the app until this bug is fixed. Updated review, I can now actually open the app without the annoying pop up, I made an account and registered for the rewards scheme but there’s no where on the app for me to see my points? And yes I’ve checked the app is updated to the current version! I can’t find it anywhere it’s not in the account section or showing on my app at all. Not sure why this app seems to have so many problems

The app is good in terms of concept and general use, but there are still some shortcomings. 1- As previously mentioned, we cannot use our subscription rights for "in-store" purchases, and this is both annoying and discouraging. 2- The app itself is very strange in that it keeps showing notifications as if they are constantly coming in. I use the app to place orders and can track my orders from the dynamic map. However, even after closing the app, I keep receiving notifications. If these notifications are related to my orders, I don't want to provide feedback or comments on every order, so I have disabled all notifications in the app. 3- Please do not ask me how I found the app or what I think about the order after each order. It is incredibly annoying. This should be able to be turned off in the settings.

The staff are extremely kind, beyond expectations. I placed an order from the app for a cookie and it was sold out when I grabbed my order, the staff of the Westfield-London branch gave me another one (different flavor) and at the same time refunded me the cost of that cookie. Moreover, I ordered an extra hot Cortado, and while we were trying to get the refund, it got colder, where they took it and re-prepared a new one for me. Honestly this is the best customer service I have ever had here. Thanks again Blank Street STAFF at Westfield-London.
