AvaTrade: Trading App

I normally use the Freetrade app that I am very happy with as an app and trading platform but wanted to reduce my exposure by using another trading platform as well. After spending time looking at other apps I decided to try Avatrade however when I tried to register to open an account it wouldn’t accept the fact that my address comprises only a house name, town name and postcode. It wanted a house number and street name that I don’t have. If the system were pre populated with postal/zip codes then it would be obvious that my address is correct and verifiable. I contacted customer support and was told that unless I had a house number and street name I couldn’t verify my address (which is nonsense). I explained that I lived in Scotland and this is quite normal here. His answer was “they have house numbers and street names in Scotland”. I explained that I don’t as my house is on a forestry track and has no name but it’s a valid address. He said that without these I couldn’t open an account. I said that I planned to invest around £200k but would now take my business to Freetrade again and delete the Avatrade app. His parting comment? Is there anything else I can help you with this afternoon - have a nice day!

After reading some of the reviews, I decided to take a leap of faith and try it out for myself. And I’m pleasantly surprised. Although the interface could be more user-friendly as it might seem slightly overwhelming when first opening the app, I loved seeing the detailed information on each (potential) investment. It definitely made it more trustworthy for me. 4 stars aa of now since I’ll be keeping this app and see how it goes even more long term.

After some time I have been trapped in AvaTradeGO’s platform. If ur looking at this app I would look at investments with a more reliable platform to trade from. The staff are trained liars and they are only out to steal ur money. I’ve had many trades which I brought early on and would now be worth in some cases 10 times what I originally brought them. They were taken from me as I apparently ran into a stop out! I found everything they took is now worth lots more and there was no reason for it, I also tried to withdraw funds their system will not let me have my own money back! I can’t access it and I’m actually thinking of taking them to court so I can be fully reimbursed! The staff are a little slow and u will not get far if u have any complaints. I’m my opinion this is a scam and u will not make anything from using this company. It’s truly is a steaming pile of crap and u need to look at more trustworthy people that allow u to have ur money. And yes I am one of ur victims of theft or as u call a client I have repeatedly tried to withdraw MY money using the same account and card I deposited with as to no avail
