Tried the paid version and it’s helpful if you have a date set for the test. If your warming up and don’t have time to commit to setting a date - I’d recommend the free version and then working your way to the paid version. You can star questions that you want to review / got wrong. Explanations provided for each question.

The app is structured beautifully with opportunities to re-quiz on missed questions easily. The design makes note taking on missed questions easy to accomplish. But I wonder about the wording of the questions though. They seem much too easy. Many of them have obvious false answers as choices. This isn’t the way the actual exam is structured. On the actual test any answer could conceivably be the right choice according to the ASWB guidelines. One must read and break down the question carefully. Your questions don’t require much breaking down. So while the app is enjoyable and beneficial to use, the structure of the questions leaves the efficacy of this as a study system in doubt.

I am getting ready to take my LCSW exam within the next 4 months. This app has already helped me to identify the areas that I need to brush up on before I take the exam. I’d recommend starting the exam prep 4-6 months before you schedule your exam. That gives you plenty of time to really absorb all of the great information you can find in this app.
