Just began uploading a few hours ago but it is so fast, mostly accurate and easy to use! If nothing else it keeps all your items really organized lol I’m kidding. The search results have been pretty great, if they were off I just gave it the correct data and it reconfigured. No big deal. I hope it stays this rad, I’m smitten so far **UPDATE** Still loving the ease of this however, the “explore” section needs to have a search function or something to organize it. Please.
I have quite an extensive collection of antiques that were passed down from my father-in-law, so I decided that it might fun to use the app to take pictures, gather info, etc.. However, the app search function didn’t actually match it to anything or seem to recognize any particular details. A pump organ was misidentified by the wrong maker despite the correct name being emblazoned on the front of the organ. I had to type in all of the descriptive information myself before it could find an AI match, which defeats the purpose of the app finding it by simply taking a picture. This happened with pretty much every item I tested. Why would I pay $4.99 a WEEK for this. I did give an extra star for the fact that it at least does provide a stepping off point if you want pictures of similar items.
I tried 11 items immediately. It nailed 7. Worse was a fairly easy to find necklace was wrong. The second image comp was an exact match, but it chose the first image , which was wrong causing the description to be way off. The items were diverse. Early 20th pottery, French miniature automaton travel clock, small deco cold painted clock with figure, silvered bronze soldier, mini deco Chinese ceramic elephant, ivory panel on a silver Chinese cigarette case, Tim Kinny dancer engraving, JC Brown ripple clock, all correct. Miniature unsigned deco bronzes described as Brutalist, no matches, but prices fairly accurate. All in all impressive and much more accurate than google image.
