Why is this even a government app idk. Some processes take multiple attempts to reach the final stage and even then after entering the details, none of the requests are processed as there will always be a popup after entering the otp stating there's some technical issue from there and please try again later. complained multiple times in the app and the issue is still not resolved. The app was created to help make some processes easier whereas the app is mostly of no use at all. Needs improvement
App is stuck on splash screen just showing Umang logo, after that no any progress nothing, waited for longer still couldn't go to login or home screen. EDIT: It's been 50 days now since server down was reported, still it's down. While I can see iOS is working fine. the server of umang is down for a long time, due to which entire government related services are unreachable.
very worst and frustrating experience. I can't open any services in umang. whenever I try to open even in the morning or evening or at night, I still have the same issue. I try uninstalling and reinstalling and restarting my phone many times, in spite of all these trials i can't open this app again. I am able to open all other advanced apps except this one. please resolve all of these
On 5th August 2025, there was a new rule which meant employer can no longer generate UAN number for employees and the employee must do it themselves. Thus, there was this service on UMANG “UAN allotment and activation”. This service has worked well for some but some of us are causing major issues because of this and losing our jobs. When I tried to use the service for the past 15 days, after entering the OTP, I got the error message “Unexpected error occurred”. Today I tried again and I reached Aadhar face verification stage. At this stage I got a new error “Duplicate or no transaction history found for OTP verificaiton”. I tried again at night and now I am facing the error at the same stage but the message is different. It has changed to “Error occurred while getting OTP verification details. Kindly retry !!”. If you cannot handle so many users at one point, atleast open an offline service for the people facing issues. The worst part about this is we cannot use our laptops to access this service or do it offline, UMANG is the only way which doesn’t work for me. I request the team to please work on this issue and put more effort into testing the application before pushing it to production since this is a very important service. Even 1 star is a lot considering the experience I have faced.
First time in my life i have seen a app where the feature has more than three months of everyday technical issue and the team is working for more than three month’s every day, like passbook feature, the otp messaging are pitiful and frustrating, everyone on the comments and online are complaining about the epfo services application, Im trying to track the claim status, magically my account which i raised claim using my registered number is not at all associated with the account and umaang wont send otp stating “This Mobile number is not registered with UMANG. Please visit New User section for completing registration process.”, when I panicked and logged out and try to register it’s giving number already registered, please login, really 🤣🥲, most of places over the internet, the team mentioned due to server issues, so you guys know about the outages caused due to the traffic and glitches, and not try to scale the process, if technical issues coming this frequently, i mean then it’s not about servers but there is seriously wrong with the developer team who are handling this.
First if I would like to appreciate the effort taken by Govt. of India I. Digitising all the central and state government services. It makes life easier to see all services under one roof. Even though there are glitches, bugs and room for improvement. I truly appreciate the effort. Also I see oly 250+ users installed this application. Which is very bad from our citizens. We should encourage our govt by supporting digital India. I see many Appl from Gujarat. But I feel bad that none of the services are provided by Tamil Nadu govt yet. Tamilnadu wake up and work hard to digitise all your service to let go off corruption
