Here’s the thing. It’s really straight forward. Squarespace has completely neglected Acuity since they acquired it. In their 2022 update, less than 5% of features were dedicated to Scheduling. You can’t customize the wording. You can’t customize the appearance. You can’t customize the checkout. You can’t check out on your domain. You can’t customize the post-checkout confirmation page. You can’t use Apple Pay even if you use stripe as a payment processor. You can’t take google pay either. You can’t enroll people in email campaigns. I interviewed a team out of India and they built all of this and more for me for under 10 grand. This multimillion dollar company can’t get it done in 5 years. When your strategy is ‘hire more PR reps than coders’ the source of the problem is really clear. And throughout it all, they hide behind a “we can log your feature request” response with every complaint. Don’t let it fool you - this is just a way to make you feel listened to, and they have zero intent of actually implementing any of the features the community recommends. Very poor service, wouldn’t recommend to an enemy.
Does this app work? Yes and no You can book a class or schedule an appointment BUT there are major flaws and no response to customer support questions. 1. You can’t update expired credit cards, so you have to add your card again and can’t remove the old one. Every time you go to pay you have to pick the one you want. 2. You can’t remove businesses you don’t book appointments at anymore. I’ve technically removed old businesses only to see them reappear immediately. 3. You have to login and out frequently because even though you’re logged in, your information doesn’t show up. Would be great if there was any kind of help with this app, but there’s not and you’re stuck using it if the business you like uses it. There are a number of scheduling apps that don’t have any of these issues. Hopefully they fix them. UPDATE I have screenshoted and sent in requests 2 or 3 times and no response. It’s why I posted my review.
Great Start but some added features would be great! For example: allowing clients to create an actual login for their account. That way if I (the service provider) make an appt on my end, it still shows up under the client’s login/account. Also, past appts before this app was even created should be under a client’s login. This app basically lets clients book without hopping on their web browser and going to a website. It’s great but can only get better! Thanks for making a client app for Acuity!
