AccuQuilt

Scanning barcodes is simple and takes very little time. I like that I can keep track of my dies, however the dies I’ve had to scan in do not show a picture of the die. If you go to details about the die, it has information and it even has a “scroll through” where pictures of the item should be. I have a “value die” that probably came with one of the cutters, but there are no pictures available and the details are vague. Since it’s just called “10x10 Value Die”, I have no clue what’s even on it, and get no help from the app. It’s been a year or two since you put out an update on this app. Maybe it’s time to get on the ball and do it.

Neither the web site nor app versions are very friendly and crash. For example I had two dies on my list and although there is a selection to delete, it takes me back to the full list. The app version says I can’t sign in, but i can on my ipad. I ideas for improvement is to have the patterns in its own category instead of mixed in with the dies. When I’m shopping I want to be able to see a listing of my dies to avoid duplicates. I currently keep a spreadsheet which is helpful, but the app would be really nice. For entering product, I’d like to see a selection on each die that says something like « I own it already » or something similar and that would go directly into my product list. When I buy directly from AccuQuilt my purchases automatically are added, but if I purchase at a store or from a friend, then I have to enter the information myself. One item that is required to add is the purchase date, which I don’t know as I try to support local stores. I love my AccuQuilt dies and it makes quilting much more efficient and the accuracy blows me away. I can’t seem to accuracy on my own.

This is a solid functional catalog app. Dies & patterns that you ordered directly from Accuquilt are already loaded (which is great)! It’s easy to enter dies you’ve gotten elsewhere. What it can’t do (yet): 1. You can’t export a list. This would be REALLY nice to be able to share with a quilt guild, family member, or honestly just to have when you’re not on your phone. 2. You can’t add comments about your dies. I would love to be able to list a ‘location’. That would let me keep a record of who I have lent mine to (you know we all do). 3. You can’t track purchase price. I know that may defeat the direct ordering. But I like to know what I’ve spent & I get a lot on sale. I hope you read these Accuquilt... add these features & take your app to the next level!
