Z Energy App

Works well. Easy to charge my car with this app. One minor little bug: Even after viewing all the notifications, when going back to the phone’s Home Screen on the iPhone, the Z app icon still has a notification showing, so you have to go back into the app to notifications and then when you pop back out of the app, the apps icon is fixed (no more ghost notification).

Prebuy/Sharetank I love the fact that you can find the cheapest fuel at any Z station within a certain radius and prebuy that fuel to use at any other Z station later. Also, if you have pre-bought fuel but the price at the pump happens to be cheaper, you don’t have to use the pre-bought fuel - you can pay the price at the pump. Also, you can prebuy fuel and share it with others eg share it among your family members. You can prebuy multiple types of fuel too. Amazing. Pay By Plate If a Z station has Pay By Plate, the app already knows what pump you’ve parked at, so you can just tap to confirm you want to fill up and then just start filling up. This is different to Pay at Pump where you have to select the correct pump number when you park at the pumps, and if you accidentally tap the wrong pump number, you’ve basically locked yourself out!

There doesn’t really have any advantages with the new app.. however it does have a huge disadvantage.. your points that you accumulate on the “old” App was instantly accessible however this new App it can take a day for the points to accumulate. A big thumbs down 👎. I’ll give an example. Although my order was for 14 coffees.. you order for 12 people tho 10 coffees or hot chocolate or frappes.. knowing you get a free coffee.. Z Papamoa, when they reopen the store had the cheek to stand their and argue with me that it can take a day for the points to accumulate on the App for your free or next stamped coffee.. I know it doesn’t take a day for my payment for fuel to come out of my bank account as I pay at pump on the spot and funds moved instantly. I Ended up at BP Wild Bean Papamoa which their points system populate immediately upon the order. Something Z need to look at with their new App. The old App was perfect point’s actually accumulating immediately.. if it ain’t broken then don’t mess with it.. your lucky Z Papamoa is closer and more convenient than Wild Bean BP..
