Started right when we we’re pulling out of the Bozeman Airport and continued throughout both Parks and we pulled over and heard some really great stories that we didn’t even know anything about like these treasure that was buried in the park by Forrest Finn and then the story of the three brothers and told us where the animals would be and there they were. Then we did the walking tour in Jackson and told us the best restaurants to go to and then we did the same thing in the town of West Yellowstone. Really made our vacation better than we could’ve ever hoped for.
I work at The Cody Hotel in Cody Wyoming. Many people stay with us on their way to or from Yellowstone as we are 59 miles away from the East entrance. A friend told us of your book, we then found your podcast which told us about the app. I was very excited about it. I clicked on three icons to hear a sample and couldn’t wait to use it on our trip through the park. When we got into the park, the app worked as promised without cell service or Wi-Fi using GPS location services, however, when I got to my sixth icon, the app said you have reached your five free icon limit. You must purchase the full DriveGuide, which would have been fine, I would gladly pay the $19.99 for it, but I didn’t have service now and couldn’t make the purchase. I would’ve been very upset if I had traveled from the East Coast or from abroad and had this happen. I have since purchased a full version and have excitedly suggested it to many of our guests at the hotel, but told them to make sure they click on six icons while they have service so it will prompt the purchase of the full version. Depending on how many more guests download and buy the app, I may need to ask for a finders fee, lol😊 i’ve already had three this morning😃
Look no further- if you’re going to Yellowstone, GET THIS APP! We listened to most of the Explore Yellowstone Like a Local Podcasts, this is done by the same guy, Teddy, his family has been going there for generations. On the app, you have little circles you can click on as you go through the park, narration of what you are seeing, what to look for, fun facts, unique things to do at every location, plus the stuff you didn’t know you needed to see!
