X Blocks was the game I downloaded and loved; the size of the playing field, the variety and consistency in block sizes and colors helped with memory and strategy of block placement, the variety of themes (loved dark mode), and the ability to be strategic and have fun with the endless game. But now, that’s all changed. The name, the blocks, themes, and user interface is no longer what I enjoyed and wanted. X Blocks was what I enjoyed, not this. I’ve continued playing in hopes that I wasn’t just being upset about change, giving it a chance and just dealing with not having what I originally downloaded, but it’s proven itself out to not be enjoyable at all. It doesn’t take much to figure out the game is designed to be enjoyable for the first 15-20 cycles of blocks. They’re easy to place and easy to clear your playing field, but then you are clearly given blocks that don’t work, blocks that don’t assist you or any strategy. With a smaller playing field, you are much more limited, and then you have to buy into watching an ad to continue or just giving them money. Either way they’re getting paid and that’s the point. The goal of this new interface is to cause more opportunities for ads and money in their pocket; not for the longevity of gameplay and user enjoyment. I’m not impressed and have decided to remove the app and move on. Very disappointed. And I’ve already messaged them a while ago directly with my concerns and comments with them saying they’d forward them to the developers to consider reverting some things back to the way they were. Not so. No changes whatsoever. So, for everyone else who wants this, have at it, but I’m not impressed. Don’t give your users something great, and then do a complete makeover for the worse.
Hi, I recently downloaded XB and will confess, I’m REALLY ENJOYING the game, surprising myself due the usual deletion of SSOOO many of the games I’ve downloaded I also Appreciate the Advertisers working with the Developers/Gamers i.e. The Right People allowing free play I’d like to ask you/Apple/The Right People to adjust/rewrite the guidelines specifically the incessant play/repeated selection of the ‘X’ only to be directed to the App Store This jester repeats seemingly endlessly (this is one of the Frustrations resulting in Deleted apps) Sadly XBapp is being considered I REALLY REALLY ENJOY the app, my correspondence is evidence - - I DON’T DO THIS!!! Hoping this Initiates further review Thanks
The game is very enjoyable and helps me decompress after a long day. My only gripe, and the reason for 3 instead of 5 stars is the ads. I understand that the developers have to make money somehow - so I understand their place and necessity in the app ecosystem. However, the audio/sound is so very annoying and disruptive. My phone is always set to vibrate and all of the sounds are off in the game. This does not stop the audio from playing from the ads. It is intermittent when this happens, it might be related to specific ads. Also, it always, ALWAYS mutes any music or podcast I have going to play the audio from the ad. And an option to silence the ad is not consistently available. This drives me absolutely bonkers. Sometimes my own audio will kick back on when the ad is over, other times I have to manually select play. I have some auditory sensitivity so it can be very unnerving in a lot of ways. Some type fix or controls for this would be very welcome. I apologize if there is a setting I missed that would control this but i cannot locate it.
X Blocks, a new and amazing relaxing block puzzle game that has been created JUST FOR ALL OF YOU. It is minimalistic, easy to play and also helps you...
