Wordelix - Word Puzzle Game

This game could be 5 stars, but it’s flawed. First of all, it works so incredibly smoothly! Very impressive. However, as a word game, in English, it’s got many, many typos and misspellings. But I still really like it and am ignoring the ‘bad English’, because it’s so close to a similar type of word game from the newspapers of my youth. And, the smooth operation is amazing! The only flaw in its operation is that within a split second of solving it, it jumps immediately to a postgame ad and then solution window. Far too fast, because you don’t even know you’ve solved it before it ‘jumps’ out of the window. All-in-all, I’m staying with it, despite the frequent typos, because it’s obvious they’ve put great, professional efforts into the game. The drawn pix are cute - and it’s a joy to experience such smooth app development! (I’m a professional proofreader, so you know it’s good when I’m able to ignore the spelling errors). I’m just looking at it like I look at life: it’s a work in progress and the developer’s fine efforts are obvious.

I love playing this game but get so annoyed with constant long long advertisements!! Sometimes I quit playing because I’m totally fed up with the ads. Why is there no option to pay for ad free play. I would gladly pay for that!! I’m okay with choosing to watch an ad because I’m stumped on a word and need a hint, but better yet would be a way to earn free hints during game play or just for playing often. This game challenges my brain which is very healthy, but frustration caused by an over abundance of ads is not healthy.

I like the game! I played “Jumble” published in our newspaper years ago. But, 4 stars because the first page of the puzzle, the cartoon, does not linger long enough for me to read it. I would prefer a ‘continue’ or ‘next’ button at the bottom of the cartoon so I can move forward when I’m ready. Having an idea of the puzzle answer helps with knowing which letters goes in the circles. Please put a ‘next button at the bottom!
