Wiley Exam Learning

I used this application to study for the CPA exam. Overall, I liked the simplicity of this application. I felt that it was easy to navigate and convenient for studying on the go. On this app, I used the electronic flash cards and occasionally the test bank. The flash cards were helpful and perfect for on the go studying. You can easily filter which flash cards to wanted to test. In addition, the flash cards on the app remove the need to order the paper flash cards. I also liked how many questions were in the test bank on the app. I didn’t use the lecture videos because they are better on the computer and less suitable for on-the-go.

So much more convenient and Efficient than whipping out a book and practicing problems and answering questions. In the palm of your hand you are able to get the practicing done as well as in depth solutions of why or why not you made a mistake. Best part is you know quickly where your weaknesses are! Each quiz can take roughly 10 min. Study during lunch break, between work sessions, while walking the dog, in the bathroom, at a boring party, while driving(its a joke calm down). But the downside is that I wish it would bring you to the particular reading/concept that you made a mistake on. It would be cool if you could compete with others and see how well you compare in terms of answering and questions correct. Please note: this is NOT a substitute for studying... because you are on your phone and you can easily open a game/app/etc... Keep that in mind. Other than that I am very impressed. Awesome job Wiley dev team!

In my experience in studying for CFA Levels 1 and 2, Wiley has been great. They give you many questions that you can do on your phone, which is very convenient. These help with high level concepts and nitty gritty calculations. I think they have continually built out the platform which is even more impressive. Over the past year, they have added in flash cards, which are nice. Further, I can download lectures and play them on my car speakers while driving. Only two recommendations I would have are 1) create a functionality for the lectures to have the ability to speed up (this is currently only available on a desktop) and 2) make the app able to be turned around when on an iPad (I say that because I have a keyboard on my iPad that naturally shifts the view into a horizontal mode, but can’t use it in this manner on my iPad). I am confident they will continue to make improvements, and the quality of the questions are unmatched.
