The Wildflowers of Mount Everest app is great if you are trekking in any area in Nepal. There is a wealth of information in the app including multiple pictures for each species, detailed descriptions of habitat, plant facts and lore, and an easy to use search feature using identifying characteristics, habitat, and flowering time. I've used the app in the Langtang, Mustang, and Upper and Lower Dolpo areas. While not every flower in Nepal is in there, the Wildflowers of Mount Everest gives you a resource for flowers throughout Nepal. There is also information about the natural history of the Mount Everest region and an incredible list of references. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in identifying flowers while traveling in Nepal.
This app is beautifully researched and organized with a wealth of information for the beginner and the botanist alike. Thousands of gorgeous photographs taken in the field show the flowers in their natural Himalayan habitat. Picture -based identification key is easy to use even for a beginner.I was fascinated also by the cultural knowledge and medicinal lore included for each plant. A “must have” for your next Himalayan trek!
This app provides a photographic guide to wildflowers in the amount Everest region. It is super easy to use, with info accessible in a variety of ways. It is authoritative and has as many layers of useful info as you might want, but no more than you want. It is solidly programmed and works fine offline when trekking.
