Do not purchase anything from this APP it’s a strait up scam . Takes the money from iTunes but nowhere does it allow you to CREATE a account so being you don’t magically have one out of thin air you CAN NOT access your premium services only PAY for them !!! Then you have to be very deep into the PC website to even find a number to call to which they tell you “ unfortunately since you do not have a account we can’t see anything for you or your “ account” as well as you will not have access to your premium services , but you can contact iTunes for a refund “ when I pushed further by saying this is a SCAM all iTunes has to do is say no they become rude and I was told “ sir I do this 10 times a day everyday I know how this works “ any other day I would’ve just let the $5 go . So imagine how many people do that and just let the company keep the money ?? I can’t imagine very many people at all would go to the depths I did to get a number for them so for ONE operator to tell me she receives 10 identical calls a day everyday means the actual number of people being scammed is a tremendous number . Best part is I’m on the line with iTunes now and they’re saying they may not even be able to do the request because white pages piggy backed the charge on top of a monthly subscription I actually can use so they may not be able to isolate the charge to refund it .

I don’t subscribe to any white pages premium search service- yet I found the now grown, twice married, moved to Florida woman who grew up in my house, the daughter of the previous owner. They moved away 38 years ago! I was trying to connect this woman with her long ago college boyfriend, who sent a letter here addressed to her or to “current resident”. I found her brother on Facebook ( name unchanged, being male) and now having his full name including middle name, found his relatives on the white pages advanced search. There is a very small profile, but it showed the town she was from, and both married names. I forwarded the guy’s letter to her, to take what action she wished, and was rewarded with thank you notes and a gift from both of them about a month later. I’m not a detective or a techie so the credit doesn’t go to me. I’m impressed with both Facebook and the White Pages!

I am writing this because it is a RARE occasion these days, in our media, technology, & business driven society that reviews can and ‘hopefully’ will have an impact on the direction and success of the reviewed company. In addition to a generation that has no idea about the importance and/or price of “PRIVACY” which ultimately affects our freedom, we have companies that are pushing that boundary to the outer limits, and less & less people have the time or intellect to care about ramifications. So, to the point; I have used this app for years and have always been VERY satisfied with the performance, but recently the app tells me I NEED an UPDATE, which seems to be the trending business model nowadays. Before automatically complying with the digital request/demand, I read all of the reviews and weighing the pros & cons and after doing so, I found one common & reoccurring complaint that specifically addressed the “UPDATED” version being inferior to the previous version, to include requiring the user to allow access to their location. Probably contacts as well, but I’m guessing because I haven't tried the newest version and won’t be downloading it (EVER) based on not one or two; but NUMEROUS negative reviews citing similar issues. So again, power to the people. Hopefully folks will continue to communicate about functionality and PRIVACY issues instead of blindly marching lock-step into “1984”
