Whimstay – Vacation Rentals

This review is subject to change based upon how customer service handles my situation, but I’m very frustrated. No matter what quantity of guests you check out for, the price does not change. I booked a place that can sleep 12 but I checked out for 6 people knowing numbers were uncertain yet (trip is in August, and yes I checked if the price would change before doing so). I got an email from the property saying that additional guests beyond 6 would be $75 each. Excuse me? If I booked it for 12 people at the same price, would you still have told me that? To me, it seems like a cash grab and I don’t like it. Either that, or they charge additional fees AFTER you check out, get your confirmation emails, etc. Either way, very maddening.

Great app to find really good deals! The only reason I gave 4 Stars is because there is no way to contact a person to speak to live on the phone, and when I emailed with a question, it was 12 hours before I received a response. Beyond that, I was pleasantly surprised with the deals I found! I would definitely recommend!

I’ve never been great at planning far in advance, and these days it feels extra daunting to do so considering how quickly travel restrictions and recommendations are changing. Whimstay allows me to book awesome properties at amazing prices just a few days in advance! It’s totally upgraded my ability to get away for a quick weekend in the wine country or a couple remote work days at the lake! Booking is simple and customer service is top notch. Highly recommend!
