I probably spent more than 60 years dehydrated. My doctor said if people would get enough water many of them would not need to be medicated for their moods. I have found that to be true in my case. I really cannot tell when I’m thirsty or not. Waterful has become my go-to app for staying hydrated, and it’s made a huge difference in how my brain and body feel. What sets Waterful apart is its ability to calculate my daily water needs based on personal factors like gender, weight, activity level, and even my local environment—whether it’s a hot day or I’m in a dry climate, it adjusts my goal perfectly. Knowing the brain is 75% water and that even 1-2% dehydration can impair focus, memory, and mood, I’m motivated to hit those targets, and Waterful makes it effortless. The app’s sleek design is a joy to use, with a water tracker that visually fills as I log my intake—a small but satisfying touch! It sends customizable reminders to sip throughout the day, which is a lifesaver for staying alert and avoiding the fatigue and headaches dehydration can cause. I’ve noticed sharper concentration and fewer mood dips since using it, likely because Waterful helps ensure my brain gets the oxygen, nutrients, and toxin clearance it needs through proper hydration. Extra features, like tracking other drinks (tea, juice) and syncing with fitness apps, add flexibility. The premium version offers deeper insights and fun hydration challenges, but the free version is plenty powerful. Waterful is like a personal hydration coach, helping me protect my brain’s health—crucial for everything from decision-making to long-term cognitive wellness. If you want to stay hydrated with a smart, science-backed approach, download Waterful now!
I’ve tried a LOT of water apps. All the ones in articles online as highly recommended? I’ve tried them. I had two requirements - Track my intake to Apple Health and have a GOOD Apple Watch complication. This app knocks it out of the park!! The complication is SO cute and SO easy to use. The widget is ADORABLE. The app itself? Super intuitive, cute, and easy to use. I love that I can add my own drinks and that my ring is different colors depending on what I’ve drank. The octopus is the cutest thing in the world. I love that he celebrates when you achieve your daily goal! And I love that the daily goal itself will change depending on the weather, your activity, and/or a couple other things. I’ve recommended this app in person to a bunch of my friends. It’s just awesome. And I never write reviews.
This is hands-down, the best free water tracker I have used. And I have tried so many of them on the App Store. This one is simple. It has plenty of free features without having to upgrade it. Offers a Watch complication that is also free without an upgrade, and it is super versatile. I love that they gave us the key features without having to pay extra. I am a simple person and only wanted to track for drinks, coffee, water, tea, and my occasional Coke zero. Being able to do that from my watch was a necessity most apps do not allow you to install the Watch complication, unless you upgrade, I really appreciate that waterfall does not make me do that. They offer it right from the start. It has super cute graphics. And it’s just a pleasure to use. I highly recommend this app to anyone that wants to track with their drinking on a daily basis.
