Washington's Lottery

Someone at WA State Lottery needs to pay attention! The updated app is terrible. Half the time when I try to scan a ticket, the scan camera turns white. Even when it doesn’t, I’ll try about ten times, moving the ticket around to different angles, and it still won’t scan. I got locked out of my account when I tried to log in after the new app launched. So I called and got a reset, and it still didn’t work. Then they sent me an email saying they were working on it and would let me know when it was fixed. Then I tried to send feedback in the app, and got an error message, that it couldn’t even contact within its own app! Now I’m not getting credits for tickets in my account because I’m just going to the store to scan. This app update is a disaster.

This app seems to be 5-10 years behind other apps. The only reason I use it is I’m forced to. It is the only app for Washington. The only issue is the scanner (the only reason you download the app) consistently gets stuck on the loading after you scan a ticket, will crash or we’ll just say contact lottery. For as much money as the WA Date lottery makes they should be able to update this (What seems like a ancient peace of technology) you are forced to use it because of the points if you want to get something back for your loosing tickets & not feel like your wasting money. Not getting anything back. I know the stores items are expensive but I rather get a small amount back then nothing. I have a literal pile of loosing tickets because that need scanned but I cannot because the scanner will not cooperate. Please FIX THIS APP WA STATE LOTTERY. I probably spend $300-$400 a week in your machines and would like to have a working app to do this all in.

I only use the app for the ticket scanner to double check my scratchers. More often then not the app doesn’t work once you scan the barcode. Sometimes it freezes on the loading screen. Sometimes it comes back with “Unexpected server error”, which at this point is a misnomer because it is actually pretty expected. Lol. Also, opening the ticket scanner pauses or stops whatever I’m listening to on my phone. I assume that’s because of the way it’s using the camera, but it’s annoying. If they fixed the backend and made the scanner not interrupt the audio on my phone this would be a great app.
