Wa­nder

Overall we had a good time, we love modern architecture and hope to be able to build our own home someday when we can afford it. We went to celebrate an anniversary, otherwise we probably would have spent so much on two night stay, we booked trough Airbnb which probably increased the price but we had never used wander before so we felt safer doing that. The experience with wander concierge through the wander app was very quick. We had a little issue with the lock box but they resolved it quickly. The home was beautiful and love the quiet peaceful location with view of pond and hills. We did go visit Hudson and that has a nice main street area. We picked up food at local grocery and cooked 2 meals there and the kitchen had everything we needed. Bedding and towels were very nice. The home was very homey and comfortable. Only complaints we would have is the wooden floors downstairs were very very creaky and in an open plan house this cause the issue specially of people waking up the sleeping people. So in future I would suggest upgrading the floors or fix squeaks and put blinds in master bath for people who like privacy when showering, remote control blinds would be a wonderful addition, for ease of use and blocking glare when the sun is bright. Fireplace was out of fuel to light but not a big deal. Only other issue we had was figuring out all the remotes for the tv downstairs, lol there was a bunch of remotes. Overall a positive trip and would consider using wander again if we could afford it (middle class family with kids in college) :(

This is truly a fabulous house, and in the most sensational location. We spent four blissful nights here, enjoying the stunning scenery through the floor-to-ceiling windows, and all the open-plan delights of a truly gorgeous house. Recently built, out of very high quality materials, awesome heating/cooling system, fabulous fireplace, ultra-comfortable beds, limitless towels etc. The outside spaces are equally well thought out, and we absolutely loved the (stainless steel - why aren’t they all made this way?) hot tub, from where we could look over the mountains and forests while sipping a glass of wine. It is very secluded, and private, but not isolated. It is on a privately owned hillside of what must be several hundred acres and 1500’ of elevation gain from bottom to top, and the other homes are also large and immaculate. All beautifully cared for. And accessible only through a secure gate at the entrance to the domaine. The Wander team were fantastic and helpful and made our stay so stress-free. I would not hesitate to recommend this place - and them. And we will most definitely be back here, and are already looking at our next Wander booking!

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at both the Tahoe house and Anchor Bay house, and both stays far exceeded my expectations! The locations, prime time! Smart house, amazing! Houses are impeccable, modern, outfitted with amazing work stations and well stocked with everything (and I mean everything) you could possibly need! I was nervous cooking in the house as in other experiences I needed to pack so many things, but not at a Wander house! They have absolutely everything to make cooking a breeze! If you ever find yourself at Wander Anchor Bay and are a golfer, I highly recommend golfing at the sea links course, Sea Ranch! It was amazing, we golfed 2 days straight (would have been 3 if we went earlier in the trip!). This course is also listed on the “things to do” wander sends to you before your trip. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my stays, with Anchor Bay being my absolute favorite so far! I walked in to music playing and a jaw-dropping sunset from every window in the house, what more can you ask for! If I could go to a wander house every weekend, I’d be there! Amazing company, impeccable team and concierge, I can’t wait to stay at another Wander house soon!
