VPAR Golf GPS & Scorecard

I got this app for the Apple Watch GPS compatibility. I had trouble getting the watch to pick up the round that I started on my phone. Once I did get it started, it displayed accurate “front, middle and back” yardages. The major issue I had, however, was that changing the hole you are on is done with the Digital Crown and the hole kept switching anytime I moved my hand. I had to scroll to the correct hole everytime I took a shot. The hole change should be done with a swipe or an arrow and not with the crown so that it doesn’t change when you do not want it to. This was annoying enough that I don’t want to use the app anymore. If not using the Watch, the phone app is fine.

We used VPAR for 5 round stableford for golf buddies trip. The leaderboard updating every hole made it fun to track. We had an issue with a handicap calc and someone at VPAR responded via email and fixed the issue immediately. The customer service was incredible. This is a very slick golf app and will be using it again for any other trips or tournaments.

As of now, the circle you can drag around to find distances is pinned to the flag and the tee box. Instead of pinning to the tee box, is there any way to pin to your current location? That way you can measure distances to different spots on the hole from your current location. EXAMPLE: If I’m hitting my approach and I want to know the distance to a bunker in front of the green, I want to know that distance from my current location, not from the tee box. Thanks!
