i just started using this app because i want to audition for my schools musical and i have never actually sang professionally. This helped me figure out what my range is. I only have two small things sometimes when iโm doing major scales and itโs trying to track my voice it will either go super high or low randomly. iโm not sure if it is messing up my accuracy or not but i am wearing my headphones and im by myself so im not sure why itโs doing that. I would also love it even more if it was for free while 3 isnโt a lot as a highschool student it is for me. I still subscribed for one month so we shall see how this works out. Overall this is a pretty good app to use!
I sing for my youth group and for a praise band at my school, and it can be hard trying to practice on my own for singing. I got two singing apps hoping it would help me, but both tricked me where I can do very little for free. The other app doesnโt let me do anything, so I had to delete it. This apps help with going low and high on โAhโ and breath work, but thatโs it. I would recommend it, maybe if you can pay, but being as a teenage and not being able to pay for a app is very hard. All I would ask is that you let me do more things on the app, like more help on pitch and warmups. And make the more advance things cost money. Take Duolingo for instance, I lot of the advanced stuff cost money, but the things you need doesnโt. And every now and then you can try it out for free for a day or three, or even a week. That makes me wanna buy it if I could. Please if you can, make it more usable. Thx.
This app is good overall, with good exercises and pretty accurate pitch tracking. However, I have a major issue with. My lowest note in the appโs vocal range data is D#3, but every warm up it gives me starts on G2. Thatโs the lowest note I can actually produce, and a minor sixth lower than I can comfortably sing cold. It says that if the range is uncomfortable, I should retake the vocal range test, but that doesnโt really help. If I raise the lower limit of my voice on the test one note at a time until the warm-ups change their starting pitch, they jump up two octaves to start on G4. Thatโs even worse for me. I risk straining my voice with either range. Thatโs not okay for warming up. I can safely and comfortably start at G3, but the app wonโt let me. Itโs super frustrating because I like the exercises in the app, but I canโt use half of them until Iโm thoroughly warmed up. I do use the warm-ups sometimes, but only after Iโm already warmed up. If I could manually select which octave to sing, that would really improve my experience with this app. Also, on a much smaller note, for some reason, the app doesnโt seem to have an alto categorization. When I was changing the lower limit of my voice one semitone at a time, it went from contralto to mezzo-soprano to soprano. Not really a huge deal to my mind, but odd.
