Tribe: Live Sports Scores

Love using this app for keeping track of all the sports I follow. The immediate posting of scores is fantastic, and can’t be beaten. For that alone, I’d rate this app five stars. What drops this down to four stars, however, are the lack of information for my chosen MLB team, NY Mets (currently listed as TBD, yet the season started 20-21 March ‘24), and the fact I can’t even update the notification settings on that page. Absolutely nothing works there. As for my other favourite US sport - NHL - I can’t follow at all, just pathetically beg the developers to consider adding. So this is me, begging. Please. Fix my MLB Mets page, and add the NHL so I can follow my beloved NY Rangers. Thank you!

I’ve been a Tribe user for years, typical Kiwi ex-pat trying to follow the games from home when time-difference and telly channel tiers make it impossible. The app was a little clunky before, but the developers keep chipping away at the user experience and now it’s better than anything else out there. Very fast and easy to edit the sports, leagues and teams you want to follow. The live commentary is absolutely top-shelf, too, and well worth keeping track of during a game - really intelligent and quirky feed that keeps you following. A little like listening to the radio as a nipper when the All Blacks were in the UK, way more fun than it sounds. Can’t recommend the Tribe app enough - if you’re a Commonwealth ex-pat this should be on your device.

I never write app reviews, but I make an exception for Tribe! It’s a no nonsense sports app that lets you follow your teams and sports to perfection. As an American rugby fan, it is by far the easiest way to know when games kickoff because the app converts to your local time! Lord knows I missed some games because I’m too dumb to correctly calculate from GMT, but now I don’t have to! I also follow my Sacramento Kings on there, and their box scores are great! They post lineups and game summaries for the big matches to boot! If you’re on the fence about getting this app, DO IT!
