I don’t usually write reviews at all, but this app is vastly different when it comes to its competitors. I’ve tried all the famous competitors of this app- and was a long time user of Monarch prior to discovering this app. The primary function for me using Monarch was to track my assets & my liabilities and get an overhead view of my financial health and progress. However, it was limited with its pre-set portfolio options. There was plenty of options, but you could only use one of them once, which made you have to group assets with other assets, even if you didn’t want to. The best thing about TrackMyStack is its feature to create portfolios, allowing you to categorize your assets in far better ways than any other app I tried could. I like to categorize my liquid assets, my reserved assets, assets reserved for different things like debt, goals, non-liquid assets, receivable assets, valuables, redeemables, etc. This app allows you to create portfolios, name them, and even tag them which is the cherry on top. Tags allow you to group different portfolios, giving you the information you desire. The UI is beautiful as well, with excellent color choice, as well as offering percent changes in valuations, letting you know how your net worth has changed over the course of a month & within the day of entry. There is also a chart to help visualize how your net worth has changed with different time frame options. There is also a retirement planner, as well as a very affordable premium plan that gives you extra information with metrics on investments. I should also mention- no ads on the free version! The premium plan solely adds more features, but doesn’t lessen the experience for the free user. There is also a chat support, allowing you to chat directly with an app developer, and with very quick responses. Lastly, they recently introduced goals, a long awaited feature I hope they would add. The team behind this app is very ambitious & is always adding new features, improving the UI, and are always on top of fixing bugs, which I may add are far and few between. No other app has checked so many boxes for me, and I am very excited for the future of this TrackMyStack!
I really appreciate this app. This approach where you can choose to watch ads for a specific reward of info, yet not see them constantly by default, is VERY smart. FYI, assuming you have your stocks set to reinvest dividends, you’ll need to manually update your quantities once a quarter (or however often your dividends come out) because app doesn’t auto-update the quantities.
Priority number one for me was to find a net worth tracker where I didn’t need to link all my accounts. I’d rather do things manually. I tried about 20 or so apps and finally found this gem. On all the other apps I tried, either their interface was too messy or it didn’t have the capability to track one or more of my assets. This app had everything. I never pay for apps but I got the annual subscription on this one for the extra features and to support development.
