The Training Notebook

The Training Notebook app has been a fantastic asset for managing my personal training business. It's specifically built for trainers, simplifying the often tedious administrative tasks so I can focus more on my clients and less on paperwork. I appreciate how intuitive the interface is, making it effortless to customize training plans, conduct unlimited body assessments, and track detailed client progress all in one centralized place. The app also provides Physical Readiness Questionnaires (PAR-Q), ensuring I keep my clients safe and ready for their workouts. One standout feature is the companion "Client Notebook" app that my clients can access for free, allowing them to monitor their own progress, stay motivated, and maintain open communication through built-in messaging. The built-in interval timer is another thoughtful feature, further streamlining training sessions. Overall, The Training Notebook is ideal for trainers looking to enhance client experience, organize their workload effectively, and grow their business efficiently. I highly recommend this app for fitness professionals aiming for top-notch organization and productivity.

I chose The Training Notebook because I love that in the workout program when I write the description of the program there is enough space for me to leave notes on things I want the client to remember like TRX row, keep wrists straight, and get steeper if you want to make it harder. I love that my clients have their own app to see all the programs they have ever done! I like that I can also email the program to the client. I also like how I can have all the clients info in one place like their body composition, etc. I wish they didn't add the link for attaching videos. Since they don't provide the videos yet my new clients will ask where the videos are.

I have been using this app for about a year now. I have had issues with them multiple times. First, I upgraded my account to unlimited after having 10 clients on the app, and they continued to double charge me for months until I emailed their customer service to find out what was going on. The app is constantly crashing and within the app, workouts will get messed up (my sets will go to rest time, the exercise name will go to the reps category) so I constantly have to re-type all components of the exercise. It is so frustrating. On top of that, after the last update, the main client page has a gray trash can next to it and I accidentally clicked it which then deleted all of my workouts from 6 months of training a client. When I contacted them, they simply told me there is nothing they can do for me. There are free apps that are a lot more user friendly and have better customer service. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
