The Masjid App

I just stumbled across this app on one of my local masjid’s website. The concept of this app is great to allow one to quickly see all the various events and classes offered at your masjid or multiple masjids on one app, rather than searching the web or email for the masjid’s newsletter. We just need to request for our masjids to also upload and update their programs on the app.

My local masjid publishes their prayer times with this app. It's great to be reminded to make it for the iqamas as prayer times change throughout the year (no need to set your own alarm and keep changing it!) The one feature I'd really like to see added is a widget so I can see the iqama times on my home or lock screen. It's a little tedious to open the app to get that info. JAK!

I would like to preface this review by letting everyone know I don't normally write reviews but in this case as a Muslim I am compelled to. All your local Masjid's can be found using this app. Not only can you locate the Masjid's but the events being held at those Masjids such as Jumuah Prayers, the Seerah of our Prophet, Lessons on Proper Wudu and Salat can be found using The Masjid App. I happen to personally know the developer of the app and he has had to deal with many of the unecessary politics that some Masjids deal with to get them to agree to provide their events etc on the app. He has taken no money from anyone in developing this app and he is a good Muslim man, may Allah grant him the highest level of Jannah.
