The Loop Radio

Seems near impossible to get out of the advertising loop at start up. Seems like anytime you pause or go to another app you have to suffer through the advertisement again. Occasionally you can’t get out of the advertising page. I’d rather just stream this off their site then use a terrible app like this

I listen to The Loop app on my Apple IPhone and it’s prefect. I listen to it in the car and through the app on my phone at home. Until a couple weeks ago… Temu is a company that offers crap shipped from China. On the app for The Loop I expect an ad and let the music play. Now, I get stuck between Temu and a different ad (which I clicked & it’s also Temu). They are separated by the tiniest “x” that I can’t help but click on either app (Temu) to continue. It opens a new web browser everytime I do this. I deleted The Loop app an re-downloaded it three times with the same outcome. Looks like I’m back to Pandora, and The Loop app on my phone is totally gone.

While the terrestrial station switched to Christian Rock at Midnight on March 10th, the app is supposed to keep playing Rock&Rock indefinitely. No issues with commercials since they made the announcement, music plays right away, in background, HQ, no issues. Only thing missing is the Chicago touch, the DJs, the talent, the talk. 97.9 WLUP may be gone, but it’s spirit will live on.
