The Little Office

I’ve prayed the Little Office for years but found during this last pregnancy I struggled keeping the discipline. The timed reminders and access on my tablet has been a blessing, and has even helped me reframe how I view the technology. My only critique would be that it would be nice if a Latin option were added and there are a few typos/missing antiphons/lack of seasonal changes - there’s no “Praise be to thee…” instead of Alleluia during Lent, Salve Regina is the closing antiphon at compline, not sure if it’s like that all year but is should be Ave Regina Caelorum in this season. These are fairly minor details though and overall it is a useful free app. Deo gratias, Ave Maria!

This app is beautiful and very functional. I actually prefer it to the excellent Divine Office app also available on the App Store. If I could make one request I would love the option to choose a more modern translation of the readings like the NRSV or the Revised New Jerusalem Bible, but if not possible this app is still perfect. It makes this devotion very simple and straightforward to follow.

Great job. The app is especially easy to navigate. A lot easier to carry around in my phone than having to carry the full book around in my pocket. Grateful to the dev for making this so accessible.
